Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anybody here ever built parallel bars and have plans for them? Something like whats in the top picture here:

    http://www.gymnasticbodies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1348

It's something i'd like to start as i've gotten back into using my gymnast rings again and I find it alot more enjoyable then constant barbell work!

Do you really need full length bars? I have seen them made from scaffolding. I guess you might get some items from a scrap yard, once there is any damage to scaffolding I guess it must be condemned but would be fine for our usage.

If they are not very long I have seen people make them for strong PVC tubing.

I made a V shaped dip station similar to this.

It was off an old table. Just had to angle grind it and get one section welded on.

People have used saw horses too, you could use barbells as handles

    or no need for bars.
