Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

liquid egg whites in Dublin - where to buy

    Hi Guys

My first post here although Ive been reading this forum for a while now. And many thanks to boards.ie members in general for lots of useful info in general - helped me a lot.

Being a die-hard gym rat I always get my egg whites in the morning, sometimes I nuke a couple of them before bed-time too. I'd like to get them done quicker without egg cracking/separating the yolks and all the mess. Has anyone seen ready liquid egg whites in a food store around Dublin? Ive come across them in the US and seen it in Poland too - usually in the dairy aisle in a carton or plastic container. I live around Sandyford and checked the Beacon Dunnes, Stillorgan Tesco but they don't have it. Thanks for any hints on where to get it.

Somebody had said dunnes before. The beacon one is fairly big, I'm surprised there was none. But cornelscourt is the biggest I have been in. Dunno where it is stored, I presume it would be along with milk in cartons, might have to ask.

Otherwise www.irish-lifting.com do it, but a normal shop is going to be handier.

JC supermarket in Swords still have some. They are in the chill cabinet, go past the Weight Watcher stuff towards the butcher counter and they are on your left.

    Keep buying fresh dude ...

I bet any prepared egg whites you buy will come from battery hens, and apart from the intolerable and unnecessary cruelty this promotes, free range [organic] eggs will be higher in protein (because the chooks get a good diet including the insects they dig up, rather than the crap the caged hens get) ... unless of course your battery hens are being fed recycled animal carcasses (but I'm not sure that's allowed over here anymore).
