    Both overly dramatic

The question is, which nutjob will kill someone before the end of the seasons, Cathal or Eoin?

    Or De Paor?

They better not bring that Madame and thug guy back though, I haven't seen acting that bad since plays in primary school :P

So where's Lee? Is she coming back at all? Gas the way characters in soaps can put all their belongings in a small holdall, I'd need a small lorry for all my junk!

Cathal is almost making Eoin look normal these days!!!

    Poor innocent Mack :-(

I can't believe Bernie hasn't sent Cathal packing and now he's setting a trap for her, for sure.

I do miss Lee, I wonder when we'll find out what's going on with her. And her mom has her sights on another port in the storm. I don't know where's she's been staying since Vince tossed her out, but she's spotted an opening.

For a long time I was on the fence about Eoin, but he's been unredeemable for a few episodes. Maybe he does actually care for Eimear, but is it because she reminds him of his mom, and her problems? What happened those nasty selfies he had on his phone?

Mack is his own worst enemy! Why doesn't he listen to Caitríona?

Okay, two more days before the next episode, whew!

Wow!! Best episode in a long time!!

Wonder what will happen next?? Tuesday seems so far away!!

The whole Cathal thing has been really well done. He got gradually more obsessive over the past few months until it hit breaking point and the whole time we could see Berni was trapped. But because he's quite obviously ill, no-one considered it an abusive relationship until quite recently.

Tuesday will be interesting to say the least...

And as for Eoin... I don't know, he's clearly deranged and evil, but I still kinda feel sorry for him. That Frances storyline needs to end though.

You have to think someone's not making it out of this season alive...

16 episodes to go before the summer cliffhanger and the candidates for sudden death seem to be Cathal, Berni, Evan, Eoin, Eimear, Frances, Mack or Caitríona. I've left Tadhg off the list, because let's face it he's indestructable.

I'm thinking it will either be Cathal or Eoin. Berni, Mack and Caitriona have been in it for so long I don't think they would finish them off.

Please, let it be Cathal! I am so sick of his selfish madness!

Of course, now that you've laid out a list of possibilities, I think it would be incredible to have it be Eimear. I really, really like her as a character, but she could die in a way that just wrecked Eoin and turned him on his head about his mom and her alcoholism.

If I was better at following the actors I might have a clue if any of them want to leave the show, that's a good reason for a character death, too.

Also, they seem to have pulled way back on the "secret" between Eoin and Frances. It feels like having a whole barrel of gun powder sitting there for two or three episodes, and then getting it wet. Very anti-climatic.

Ugh, this is why the Thursday episode is so hard! I can't wait until Tuesday!

It's no official list or anything, just my own theories of who could possibly go.

The good thing about Ros na Rún is they stop filming for the year in March and don't resume again until July, so you still wouldn't know if anyone left the show because they all do other projects in the mean time.

Oh my gosh! I cannot believe that we're still hanging by a thread with the Cathal-Bernie-Evan situation!

I don't understand where Frances is going, must have lost track of that.

And I'm a little lost about why Maire doesn't want Sara there. They don't get along, sure, but this seems specifically different.

I guess I've got to wait until Thursday!

I've lost track of the Tadgh/Francis situation too, it's dragging on a bit.

I think the reason Máire doesn't want Sarah coming is because she was behind hiding the letter from Peadar from that woman telling her about his children.

  • Registered Users Posts: 40 siochain705

I think you're right about Máire/Sarah. I was lost online somewhere and read/heard that Máire is being protective because of the upset with Peadar.

I thought that the Cathal situation would have some resolution by the end of the episode on Tuesday, now I'm wondering if they will even wrap it up by the end of the episode tomorrow!

I wonder if Lee will eventually come back when Eoin is unmasked. I kind of miss Lee, I think Róisín Ní Chualáin did a good job of giving her some depth over the last few episodes that she was in. She seemed genuinely loving, and exhausted and conflicted all at once.

He could only ever leave the show in one way... Karma is a b**ch... Fantastic performance though - another classic villain gone to the big Ros na Rún Graveyard in the sky...

Wow. That was a brilliant twist with Evan at the end, bringing a whole new dimension to the story. It's kinda like the Jason and Barry thing a couple years ago, but with witnesses and a body they can't just dump and run from. Some great acting all round on that plot!

I still don't know what to make of Eoin, but I like how complicated they're making his character. He's evil and the Frances thing was sickening, but he obviously cares about Aine and his mother (and Eimear). I'm not sure how he can justify trying to kill Jason (and Eimear IIRC) earlier in the series though! Surely caring about Aine would mean he shouldn't want to do anything that would affect her as collateral damage? Or maybe he's just insane.

Oh and it was weird seeing Peadar so angry! Good acting there too.

Think RnR is finally back on track. :D

Yay for that. And I agree I don't know what to make of Eoin either. But I like how he fell for Eimear in the end, even after wanting to kill her. And honestly they make a cute couple. As for Tadgh it would be nice to see him get his for once though.

What a great show...the last few weeks have been very exciting. Seeing Cathal lose it bit by bit. The wedding set up in the garage really showed how mad he was. Even killing him was such a twist.

It kinda looked like it was the last episode as there was no preview of next week...is it the end of the season already or they did that for dramatic effect?

Dramatic Effect. There's another 7 or 8 weeks of episodes left before they finish for the summer. June 11th I think is the season finale...

Thanks I really was wondering there.

    I was wondering too!

I just don't see how they can get Evan for murder, he was trying to get Cathal away from the car to save his mother.

Cathal had already proved murderous intent. Punching him was well justified, I think.

But, where would the drama be in that!

Can't wait for the next episode!

Wow, Colm Ó Fátharta is doing a great job! I love the many complicated reactions that Evan is going through. A nicely complicated set up.

Sarah couldn't be more dense if she were made out of osmium. Good to see Peadar stand his ground.

Looks like things might be coming to a head with Eoin. Big crisis for Tadhg's family coming up on Thursday!

Bobbi Lee keeps getting taken down a peg. I wonder if her character will change any from the experience... nah!

Will Cathal have a funeral? What a mixed bag that would be.

Nice family drama at the B&B.

What was the deal with yesterday? He sets it all up and then at the last minute jumps in and calls it off?

I thought they were gonna have Aine discover the pics of Frances on his phone and say it in front of the social service guys. But he seems to have abandoned that idea too. Either actually carry out a plan or go away!

  • Registered Users Posts: 40 siochain705

I am also confused about the pictures on the phone. I can't believe that he handed that to Aine! Maybe it was just to build up suspense?

Looks like they are diving deep with the alcoholism plot, so I think Eoin will be around for a while. His mom's got quite a strong constitution, nearly on her deathbed but jumping up to go after a bottle every time someone turns their back!

Sarah's on my nerves. Between her conniving and Peadar's old flame popping up I think Maire's going to lose it.

There are a lot of plot lines to track at this point. Good episode.

In the teaser for Thursday Mack looks a bit rough!

I can't believe Sarah's got such cheek! Do you think there's really anything going on with her, or is she just pulling a fast one on Maire?

Definately just pulling a fast one I reckon...

Looks like the Ailbhe storyline is finally coming to a head!

I am confused re Sarah. At the start of the last series Sarah, Maire and Peadar were going to live in the States. Then they decided to stay when Sarah decided to go and live in the nursing home (same place as Coilin lives). Then we heard nothing about Sarah for ages and then suddenly she returns from the US and no mention of the nursing home?

Maybe I am getting confused in my old age? Or did I miss something? I am pretty sure I have not missed any episodes of RnaR (sad I know to admit that!)

I can't remember how the nursing home story ended, actually, but she went back to America after Máire found the letter from Eibhlín that Sarah had hidden for 40 years. Sarah was in RnR when they found that letter, maybe she went to the US straight from the home after that?

Anyone know what age Sarah and Máire are supposed to be?! I can't see the age-gap being big enough for them to be mother and daughter...

  • Registered Users Posts: 40 siochain705

Wow, Sarah is really pushing the Peadar can't be trusted narrative. She's trying pretty darned hard to avoid the doctor, too. The look on her face after Eibhlín left was priceless!

Looks like the Ailbhe story is heating up. Caitríona runs hot and cold on courage.

Also, it looks like Tadhg got a glimpse of the real Eoin. But, the coming attractions were the most exciting in that story arc. It looks like those pictures are going to surface after all!

    Can't wait until Tuesday!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,725 ✭✭✭Kauto0709

It seems Evan is getting away with murder (literally!) I thought something would come of that.

Finally the truth behind Eoin is beginning to surface. What will happen next is the question...

Really couldn't care less about the whole Peadar/Máire/Sarah storyline, I find it very boring.

A lot of people seem to get away with murder round there! Tadhg, Jason, Bríd, Evan, Tina (although she then got jailed for a murder she DIDN'T do)... Can't believe nothing ever came of Bríd killing Dara and all the other mad stuff she did.

Sarah does my head in. I know she's supposed to be annoying, but not so much so that I want to just fast forward every scene she's in. I feel sorry Máire though, they've given Peadar a personality transplant in the last few weeks (remember a few months back he found her diary saying she wasn't sure she wanted to marry him and he lost the plot because he didn't think he was good enough for her? Now he's done a complete u-turn on that).

The Cathal story was done really well but I don't think the Eoin one is going to be quite as good. Also why did no-one ever report Lee missing?! That was mostly Eoin's doing as well come to think of it!

    And I still hate Bobbi-Lee!!!

I had kinda forgotten about Bríd but you're right, they really did leave all her stories up in the air! Remember when she disposed of whatever she used to damage the breaks on Cathal's car, someone (I'm nearly sure it was Peadar) saw her walking away.... I thought for sure that would come up!

I was also thinking that about how Peadar was so hurt about Máire being going to marry someone else in the past but then it turns out he had children with someone else??

Bobbi-Lee hands-down most annoying character ever "honey" (ugh!)
