Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't think its Tintern or Kilmokea .............So don't have a clue

It certainly looks like heritage walled gardens

They look like the walled garden and bridge in Tintern - so I'll guess Tintern.

You're right, Tintern's recently re-opened walled garden. First part of, there's lots more behind that rear wall (entrance top right, out of shot). I was there for the official re-opening a few weeks ago, the blocking up of that gap in the wall behind the reed man is progressing nicely.

    Yep, that's Intern.

That is the vegetable garden the nicer bit is in the front one

Is that at the top of the town, when you turn right at the traffic lights just beyond Tesco coming from Wexford on the Ring Road? I think the area is Irishtown.

Your getting lukewarm there , but this is not visible from the roadway / street

right general area. It's cullenstown is it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,069 ✭✭✭Tzar Chasm

Well unless I missed some memo over the weekend and cullenstown has seceeded from the parish Bannow would be a perfectly acceptable answer.

Also, what's with all the interest in the parish, I know its the centre of the civilized universe an all but if ya keep post in pics of it we'lk be overrun with foreignists gawkin at stuff

Cullenstown is one of only a handful of beaches in Wexford that has a 'Green Coast' award .

It is already well advertised here , even with photos :
    http://www.wexford.ie/wex/Departments/Environment/Beaches/CullenstownBeach/#d.en.15556

So don't have any particular fixation / fascination with this area , other than enjoying its coastline .

was watchin that Coast program on BBC2 they had a bit about Rare whistling sand Beaches, where the sand squeaks when you walk on it, apparently its quite rare to find sand like it,they said there were about 30 in the British Isles, and Bannow Island is oneof those

The old bridge at Ferry Carrig (sic) and it looks like it was intended for thrill seekers only! The round tower looks a bit shook too and I will come back to it tomorrow with another strange photograph.

This thread seems to have died a death so I'm posting this pic for which I need a definitive location - i.e. it's not a competition. Thanks in advance. :)
