Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

More or less correct Foolelle! Right at the North Slobs, across the road from the old pumping house at the Wildlife Reserve.

Is it that well (maybe St.Declans Well) near Oylegate ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 157 ✭✭Missent

    Paulaa & Vic Watson,

Sorry for delay in replying but it's neither of those. A hint would be to concentrate on the areas where there are houses currently bearing the name "Talbot" in Co. Wexford as indicated by the first name on the mausoleum.

    Is it near Rathaspeck ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 157 ✭✭Missent

Maybe eighteen-twenty miles further north from Rathaspeck and you'd be there, Allthedoyles

Not there. Only families I associate with that area are the Ogles and Cliffes of Bellevue. Need to move nearer the coast and a bit further north.

Too far north. It's south of Kilmuckridge.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 157 ✭✭Missent

No further posts so the correct answer was Killila graveyard just outside Blackwater and the Talbot association was with Castle Talbot which is also outside Blackwater.

The story is that the coffins inside it had eventually to be removed and reburied in the main graveyard in Blackwater due to grave-robbing.

Anyone else like to have a go?

Is that outside Kilmore Quay near the turn to Kilturk? I think the area is called "Grange".

Is it a real Martello Tower?

I don't think its Tintern or Kilmokea .............So don't have a clue

It certainly looks like heritage walled gardens

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 157 ✭✭Missent

They look like the walled garden and bridge in Tintern - so I'll guess Tintern.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,090 ✭✭✭RadioRetro

You're right, Tintern's recently re-opened walled garden. First part of, there's lots more behind that rear wall (entrance top right, out of shot). I was there for the official re-opening a few weeks ago, the blocking up of that gap in the wall behind the reed man is progressing nicely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,069 ✭✭✭Tzar Chasm

    Yep, that's Intern.

That is the vegetable garden the nicer bit is in the front one

Is that at the top of the town, when you turn right at the traffic lights just beyond Tesco coming from Wexford on the Ring Road? I think the area is Irishtown.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,893 ✭✭✭allthedoyles
