There used to be one many not so many moons ago

Any particular reason it stopped? Seems like it would be a much better idea, particularly since there is essentially a price war going on between them at the mo

I imagine too many people = too many tangents = confusion

Was in both Aldi and Dunnes today, three giant onions in Aldi for 39c and a bag of moldy onions in Dunnes for 39c, Aldi won hands down, if not for all the people pulling at the boxes to get the cheap veg I might have bought some onions and melon.

Wow. That's getting it in advance. They have sent out the posters long in advance but I bet they did not expect the managers to put it out so early.

These offers are bull when every time ya go it's a big empty shelf. That chicken there ^^, thats a good offer to me.

Il go in 2/3 times in the period and i doubt they'll have any in stock.

Pity its not a free range though.

You've really got to go there early enough to get the offers sometimes!

Free Range for 3€ ? Come on.

That super 6 fruit and veg is great.

Rucking Fetard - why not talk to the manager of your local store and ask him to put whatever you want aside for you to collect later, I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue.

How does it work, do they just stock up the shelves first thing before opening and then after that when it's gone, it's gone for the day ?

600g of stewing beef is a good deal, as is €3 for a 1.6kg chicken too

Well in my local Aldi we always find the best time to shop is between 9am and 2pm because we find this is when the shelves are best stocked and if something isn't on the shelf they seem to be staff working to assist you than later in the afternoon/evening.

be wary of the weights of all fruit and veg in Tescos! Carrots advertised as 600G might be marked on the packs as only 500g, Mandarin oranges advertised as 650g might only be 500g packs.

There was a back to school magazine floating around in Aldi last week and the new super 6's were/are in the centre of this magazine.

Have rarely if ever seen sweet potatoes in the Super 6, I dont think they are on the super 6 on a regular basis anyway i.e. some of the things on super 6 come up regularly enough but sweet potatoes.......

Do they ever have sweet potatoes in the Super 6?

I remember they had them last year in October or November!

Probably got them as cheap imports from somewhere like Cyprus at that time of the year.

They come up around twice a year - usually a three pack small-medium sized or a single ginormous rock (before Christmas last year).

Lidl had sweet potatoes a couple of weeks ago at 50c or something like that for a packet of 3 or 4. I stocked up at the time

Search the thread.. if we had all the supermarket offers in one thread, you would find them all..
    December, January, August

Not true, you would still have to search the thread, then you'll get people GOING OFF THE THREAD TOPIC discussing the various supermarkets offers and it would get extremely messy. There is a thread already for Supervalu, Tesco, Dunnes, Argos etc etc for their Bargain Alerts and the various bargains can be discussed in those various threads.

No one will find anything if they are all lumped in together.

I've nothing against you personally but from now on I'll be reporting your posts for Tesco and Dunnes etc in the Aldi Super Six thread.
