Not meeting someone isn't a crime is it?

Firstly, postponing or cancelling a meeting to conduct a sale transaction is nothing to do with criminal law. It would be a matter of civil law, if it were a civil wrong. But it's not a civil wrong so there's no basis for him to state so. If he's made comments about you alleging that you've committed a crime by postponing/cancelling the meeting, and further derogatory comments about your character, you may have a foundation to sue him for defamation.

Secondly, making threats of harm against a person may be a criminal offence.

The fact that the threats are made using social media or by text does not make them any more acceptable.

Save all comments, text etc directed to you, report him to the Gardaí and report him to the social media company if he's made any allegations or nasty comments using social media.

Then block his number from your phone and block his ability to contact you by any other method, email or social media, and forget about him.
