Drama and Docs are prob the stronger out of all the new shows, but that tends to be the case.

Poor Lorraine Keane passed over again. Can't understand it. Surely there's something for her in RTE?

Late News with Charlie Bird

Charlie is standing in for Marian Finucane.

If they could find a programme for Michael McDowell, why not Lorraine Keane?

    http://www.examiner.ie/ireland/fresh-faces-line-out-for-rte-127148.html

Keeping up a recent RTÉ tradition of finding broadcast roles for former PD politicians, former minister for justice Micheal McDowell will be presenting the show on his hero Michael Collins.

We are getting our own version of Live at the Apollo. Could be good.

Lorraine Keane is too nice a girl. "Hero" Micheal Collins perhaps he would be better off doing an expose of that new over priced prison of his or how his grandfather left his own constituency in NI.

Starring Jim Belushi and Jerry O’Connell (Jerry Maguire), The Defenders is a comedic drama about two colorful Las Vegas defense attorneys who go all-in when it comes to representing their clients.

this looks ok actually, i like both these guys. will watch this.

The pilot was on last year and was brilliant.

    Ha! Ha! No it isn't.

This however will be pretty good:

    The Hardy Bucks

Advance word on it is promising.

I think comedy wise RTÉ have nothing to write home about, the comedies announce are fairly average.

Triva, Mrs. Brown, Mattie and even The Panel all fit into playing it save, while it will be interesting to see Hardy Bucks make the move to TV.

Hopefully the Bucks will be able to keep the same formula that served them so well in their Youtube videos! And I'm gonna be away for it an all..

What is this "Autumn" you speak of?....shouldn't it be the Fall RTE schedule.

    Good man Louis!

"RTE need new faces and new attitude. They launched their new schedule and it was the same old faces who I'm fed up of looking at. RTE is the civil service. It's a big building with all these people doing nothing. RTE should be sold off and the people running it sacked..."

    http://www.independent.ie/entertainment/tv-radio/close-it-down-and-sell-it-off-says-pop-mogul-2305069.html

(Still not buying any of your rubbish product though)

He then went on to ask
"How are TV3 so successful when they have a smaller budget and only one little studio?" he asked.

"While all the time RTE are losing millions and millions.

"They call RTE 'the station of the cross'. God knows it's true. We have all been suffering for years. It has to end soon. Please," he added.

Because they have ITV paying your salary rather than producing programming, RTÉ on the other hand actually produce TV shows.

RTÉ have plans to launch SaorSat in 2011, and you can still receive them via Terrestrial means FTA.

Fade Street: Fade Street is a 12 episode dramatic reality show following the lives of a group of twenty-somethings making their way in Dublin. An engaging mix of creative and entrepreneurial personalities find themselves negotiating a rollercoaster of real life drama and big decisions. From that first post college job to moving in with a new flatmate not to mention the heady of world of young love, this is a show that will entice, excite and engage.

So a bunch of D4 Grads decided to make a show about a bunch of D4 grads......genius!
The kind of crap they tried to throw at us during that badly produced Celtic Tiger reality show we all lived through;)

Blue Bloods?? Yay! I was hoping against hope that would be shown here. I'm delighted now.
