    oh,you have much to learn.*

People who can't accept how amazing their life is,you've money, close family, lots of friends and a damn good set up for life.

Please cop the fck on and don't whine to me about how terrible it is that you can't drink 4 nights a week or that you only get 20 euro a day in college, that's better wages than most people i know for doing nothing

and people who don't know the difference between an argument and a discussion

Friend of mine who's in England for college moans about 200 pounds a week...... DIE.......

Ugh! I've a friend and despite the fact she works every weekend her parents pay for her rent, give her €120 for essentials every week as wells as €50 spending money, and she is always complaining about how broke she is. Sorry, WHAT?

There is not much I find offensive but I think this add is terribly sexist.

'Cause thats clearly what all girls do. We are bítchy, giggly, love having a song and dance followed by a diet coke, then we all go home and cry to our gay best friend that our life isn't just like Carrie Bradshaw's.

    Also, creepy puppets are creepy.

I dislike when people are argumentative for no good reason. Especially when the other person clearly isn't interested, and even more especially when they find fault with a perfectly reasonable belief rather than some logical error. "Your opinion is wrong!" :(

Bigotry, prejudice and ignorance are awful nonsense too, of course.

I hate when people take general light-hearted mocking seriously...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,082 ✭✭✭Pygmalion

People who take disagreement as some kind of super-personal insult.

"I think that X is the best way to do something."
"Nah, I think Y is way better."
"OMFG calm down, Jesus why are you so argumentative, it's not that important, can't you agree with me for once?"

Or there's the people who refuse to ever disagree with someone because they think it's nicer to let someone continue to fail than to offer constructive criticism.
Or refusing to ever give an opinion on anything rather than risk the shame and horror of disagreement or finding out they're wrong.

Not related to the above btw, just reminded me of it.

When people say "no offence" and then proceed to say something needlessly nasty but think it's fine and you've no right to complain just because they stuck a meaningless phrase before the fecking insult.

Also: "I'm not racist but the fecking black people are the cause of every problem in the world. But don't worry, I'm not racist."

I was driving and stopped by the "the guards".
I saw a fight and called "the guards"

I don't know how this guard business started but it's my pet hate and my contribution here

Oh and management speak, my boss asked me to a meeting to "touch base" on a project.
If you're not a baseball player you don't touch base with anyone!

I'll be honest I do this sometimes. But only when it needs to be said
Example:"no offence, but you kind of are a druggie when you do 2 grams of coke in one night"

    never:"no offence you're fat,LOL,epic man boobs"

Don't really mind that sort of thing though because it's just you being honest and trying to help. I LOVE it when people are honest with me. It's just when they're being downright nasty but hide it behind the "no offence" that I can't stand. I also hate it when people are really harsh and then quickly say "only joking" when you know they weren't. Grrr.

Oh dear God, nothing makes me more angry than when people make fun of someone because they're not size 6,8 or10. People in my class this year used to make fun of one of the nicest people I've ever met just because he was carry some weight. It was awful. :( It's worse again when you say it to them and they think it's just hilarious "well he is, the size of him". Nice.

When people put dvds in the wrong case.

EG. Theres a dvd in the player, they take it out and put it into the dvd their about to watch's case. Irritates the crap outta me!! I do not wish to spend 20mins trying to find my dvd just coz you wouldnt spend 1min extra putting it in the right case.
    Ignorant sisters..

Deise and her continuously talk about thomas ryan. Continuously, non-stop talking.. I have to tell her to shaddup to try and make some form of decent conversation and even at that, she always has to get a picture of him into the convo :P
But this pet hate isn't deise of course (<333), it's that thomas ryan bloke and his effect on young girls..

EDIT: Now that I think of it(10hours later) who was the first one to add him as a friend on a certain social networking website so that she could gawk at his photos and read his wall? :)

Scepticism about a proven scientific discovery or intention with the phrase "we don't know what it could do". E.g. GM foods et al.

When someone is annoyed with you, and they say, "Ok." and "K."... Yeah, how about you just admit you're annoyed or whatever and we'll sort things out?! I can't stand being k-ed! What is the point of sending me a message that just says "K"? Seriously!
