    There is no vent on the internal side. I'm concerned that it is an entry point for mice. Thanks.

    Hard to say without a photo but I'm guessing you are talking about the vent for under your floor. This vent stops the wooden support for your floor from sweating. Also needs to be there because of radon gasses
