Soccer Manager: Tonic League, New Season, Clubs Available

    I'm thinking of starting a new custom game world if there is enough interest. The game world will consist of clubs with a squad value less then £112M. The starting balance for each team will be set the same. This value is to be decided, but the minimum value allowed is 10M. The idea is to get everyone starting off on the same foot.

    To view clubs go to Soccermanager.com > add club > scroll to gameworlds coming soon > Gold championship.

    From here you can navigate through available clubs from different countries to find clubs that have a squad value less then £112M. I've made a small short list of clubs fitting the criteria to give an idea. I'll try update this list, but everyone is probably better searching for their own club. Transfer windows will probably turned on for a change to see if they work.

    This looks good, i'm in!

    Few thoughts on the structure of the leagues. I'm in another GW with 12 team divisions. Find it much better with shorter seasons, there's less of a mid-season lull in the transfer market. Obviously it might depend on numbers signing up as well etc. I'm in either way anyway!

    ^^ numbers depending, we can split into divisions. More teams involved in the shake up of each division come end of season.

    what do people think of the idea of two transfer windows?
    I've not yet played in a GW with transfer windows. it might add something different or it might be ****e!

    No better man, but from doing some reading about setting up a custom GW, some of the above info is not needed as I didn't know you can set a clubs starting balance.

    As the aim is to getting everyone off on a level playing field, I will set everyone's starting balance the same. I will update the first post accordingly when I get a minute and update the criteria.

    10m is the lowest balance yu can start with btw when setting up your own balance

    I've adjusted the first post with the updated Game world criteria of picking a team with a total value less then £112M. As above everyone will have the same starting balance set. I'm thinking keeping it to the minimum £10M. What do people think of transfer windows? I'd like to try it just to see if it works or adds something different.

    I'd like the transfer windows, it would probably give every body better opportunity to get top players.

    I'd be happy to give transfer windows a try. Would make the world stand out a bit. I imagine it would make competition for players pretty fierce.

    I'd suggest people start browsing that GOLD world to pick a team as it is opening in 2 hrs and squad values will start changing soon with people rushing into deals

    Quick question, are we restricted to clubs in the Gold GW, or can we choose a club from Croatia for example?
    I'm abroad from tomorrow until Monday, i'll try keep and eye on the picking of teams if it starts on Saturday though.

    I would assume you can pick any team as long as your squad value is below the limit ...

    Croatia you say ..... there go some of my transfer targets :p

    Perfect, I was only using Croatia as an example though! I think the clubs i'm eyeing up should be well within the limit anyway.

    Any team below 112M and at least have minimum value of 104M, unless their is much objection from anyone signed up? Their should be enough of clubs within this value to match number of managers in the gameworld.

    A couple of Belgian clubs anyways;)

    Cool. I think that was just to preview clubs fitting the criteria was to preview Gold Championship 468 in gameworlds coming soon, but this gameworld is not exclusively for gold members.

    I'm not in that league, but from looking at the thread, it has the same principles. Every manager game is going to be the same though. You either have high rated, low rated or middle rated squads.

    I'm trying to base this gameworld on we all have similar values starting off, rather then looking at squad rating. I think squad rating will vary anything between 82 to 86 starting off in this GW. I've short listed some clubs in post #1 to give you an idea.

    Yes, I would like to keep it all the same. Squads with a value of 80 or 90 million are starting off with a massive disadvantage and every penny counts. Cash has a huge value in these type gameworlds to progress and keep building. I don't want a massive disparity developing between the top and the bottom clubs as the GW develops.
