Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Something that I haven't seen mentioned here, unless I've missed it: Marshall is suspended for the first three games of the season. So even if his move to WBA goes through (which doesn't seem a foregone conclusion, based on what I've read) he would not be eligable until the Chelsea game on August 23. This seriously reduces the reservations I had over Myhill going into GW1 - reckon I'll put him back in (I had switched to Rudd(y) as my goalkeeping pair).

    on the team news…
We have Welbeck on a progressive recovery and Rosicky on a progressive recovery.
    on Welbeck…
He is not too far away, but he is not ready for Sunday.
    on Alexis…
Alexis is back in training but I don’t think he will be involved on Sunday, it is a bit early maybe. We have to decide that at the end of the week, but I don’t think he will be involved.
on Alexis training on the beach in Chile…
Alex without running around is not Alex, you know. You can’t imagine him lying on the beach somewhere and not moving! He came back in good fitness shape so that is quite positive, but I am not surprised by that because I can’t imagine him lying around for four weeks and doing nothing. That wouldn’t be him.

Mourinho will go with Remy or Falcao IF Diego Costa is unavailable on Saturday "I think he'll train today"

Mourinho when asked if Costa will train today: "I don't know. I'll know at a quarter till 5". (Training starts at 5).

He then says Costa will likely train today but his reaction to training is a different story.

RM said: “Over the [last] weekend we picked up a worrying knock on Kevin Mirallas. He’s got a bit of a swollen ankle but I’m quite positive in Kevin being fit, even though as it stands now we are going to check and assess him for the weekend.

That's good news. Will still have a close eye on Wenger's presser.

Assuming De Gea and Van Gaal don't kiss and make up, and Sakho doesn't get arrested again, I may get to choose my transfer after all, rather than having one enforced on me.

LVG on De Gea: "He won't play. It is the same situation. He is out of the squad. I said that already." So Romero looks good

Also Bertrand could be back in 2 weeks according to Koeman. So Targett looks safe for the next 2 games anyway

With a bit of luck we might get 3. Targett plays next 2 league games, Bertrand back for a run out in the EL and Targett for the league game so Bertrand doesn't play twice in 3 days :)

Not that anyone but me cares about Mirallas.... :(

"Kevin has reacted really, really well," the manager said this morning. "He was very fortunate because it was a very bad challenge that in any other situation, if Kevin was a little bit unfit or catching up a little bit in terms of his fitness, he would have ended up with a broken leg.

"But he's reacted really well, I expect him to train today and we're quite positive with Kevin about the weekend.

opinions on the chance of Adrian's red being rescinded? appeared a bit harsh when i saw it - i have McCarthy (home v Villa GW3) as backup so not panicking just yet, but if the 3 game ban stands for Adrian that's a different story

He could be a good shout for a price rise for those on a wildcard. If he gets a CS against Watford/Norwich, casuals will jump on him.

That .5 from Kolarov to him could make a real difference. But Kolarov's attacking potential!!! Tough decisions!!

Great news for more than one reason though. Kaboul has been playing like an alcoholic and O'Shea is £4.4m in FPL. Shame he never made the drop to £4.3m but he'll be in my team for tomorrow.

only a matter of time before Kol chips in with attacking returns. Well worth the extra over Sagna i.m.o.

Agreed. I think Kolarov's pace is his to lose. He looks phenomenal. Took 3 bonus last week even though City won 3-0 and he didn't get attacking points.
