    Just wondering is there any other team around Athlone that takes on new Players besides Buccs?

    check out Midland warriors in moate. loads of Athlone lads play over there. it's also only about 8 minutes drive from Athlone and also some one to car pool with if you don't drive.
    Good craic, but a much newer smaller club, without the bells and whistles, but what they lack they make up for in attitude. they would welcome anyone new in any capacity.

    by the way i am biased as I use to be a Buccaneer, and ended up over in Moate. much more enjoyable for social rugby
