All the retailers will be hiring for Christmas staff.

I know people who got jobs for Next, Penneys, Dunnes and Smyths in previous years.

But there are plenty from out here on jobs.ie

The new coffee place in Westend, Ground Espresso Bar, was looking for staff recently. Not sure if they're still looking but worth finding out.

Edit: Yep, still looking. Email workforground@gmail.com and they're interviewing next week according to their FB page. It's opening at the end of November

Probably for another thread but here goes

I got seasonal work in Debenhams; I worked 1-5 Monday to Friday. I came out with about €20 more than the dole and couldn’t claim the rest as even though it was twenty hours, it was over five days.

Then come about three days before Christmas I was let go, I went to sign back on and I took till almost February before I got paid on the dole, lucky I live with the parents.

So yes it is great to see seasonal work and hopefully get work /extra cash, but the dole doesn’t encourage people. If they worked with these places and said this person is going to work here for x weeks and then back on the dole if it doesn’t work out, encourage people with a safety net.

Travelling from Mulhuddart, pass the Graveyard and right at the roundabout. You have Alexion (pharma company) constructing a new packaging hall and R&D labs. On the opposite side of the road you have Bristol Myers Squibbs, building additional manufacturing capacity.

He's taking about the left hand side of the roundabout where the old prefabbed school used to be.

apologies. Haven't been up there in a couple of weeks. Just So I understand, it's the area on the left, that splits the powers town road and the damas town link road?
