Boards.ie Fantasy F1 Manager League

I've come up with an idea to run a fantasy manager league for us Boardsies.

The setup is simple, you pick your 2 drivers and a free reserve driver, a chassis, and an engine. These selections must meet your budget of €20,000,000

Now for the Rules.

1 - Drivers
1.1 A manager must pick 2 drivers and a reserve driver for the championship.
1.2 A manager must name his higher valued as his number 1 driver and his lower valued driver as his number 2 driver. If a manager's drivers are valued at the same amount, it is irrelevant which driver is named at number 1 and number 2.
1.3 A manager must pick a reserve driver who will fill in if one of their main drivers if they are unable take part in a round of the championship.
1.4 A manager's reserve driver does not cost the manager any money but must not be valued at more than their number 2 driver.


2 - Budget and Finances
2.1 New teams will begin with a budget of €20,000,000.
2.2 A managers team value may not exceed the budget.
2.3 If a team's value exceeds their budget, they will be disqualified from the relevant rounds of the Championship.
2.4 At the end of the Championship, each team will be rewarded with a financial bonus depending on where they finish.

2.5 Each team's budget will be monitored throughout the Championship.

3 - Team Changes
3.1 A manager has the ability to one driver in his driver line-up throughout his season
3.2 A manager has the ability to make one change to his chassis selection throughout his season
3.3 A manager has the ability to make one change to his engine selectionthroughout his season


4 - Points
4.1 A manager will receive points for how well their drivers, chassis and engine do in a round.
4.2 A manager can recieve a maximum of 35 points per round
4.3 Points will be awarded as follows

4.4 Drivers points are awarded when a driver finishes in the top 10.
4.5 Chassis points are awarded to the best chassis you have chosen. E.g. Sauber finish 6th and 8th, you receive points for 6th place alone.
4.6 Engine points are awarded to the best engine you have chosen. E.g. Ferrari finish 2nd and 4th, you receive points for 2nd place alone
4.7 If one of your selected drivers qualify on pole position for a round of the Championship, they will receive a bonus point.
4.8 The last race of the season is worth double points.

5.1 All results will be posted here
