Right lads, very simple here. Obviously some of us have different definitions of what "Techno" is. Being of the slightly older vintage of poster here I'd have a bias towards 130+bpm, often of european extraction. I know there's already a Techno/house dubstep/hybrid crossover thread, but I think the title highlights the difference between that one and this one. I dont think there's any harm in having this thread and i'm sure if people aren't too bothered it'll soon vanish back down the pages of the forum.

What I'd like to propose for this thread is that the techno posted here be of the somewhat more robust variety. Like it says, proper Solid Techno, no moody jazz or soft arsed new minimal or prog/deep house calling itself Techno. PROPER SOLID TECHNO.
It can be from any era and doesn't have to be 150 bpm hell for leather (although there's no harm in a bit of that either;)) and it doesn't have to be hard and dark either, just something with a bit of oomph.

Also, I think it would be no harm to keep it similar to the Tune of the day thread, maybe a limit of 3 tracks per day per poster so as not to completely flood the thread.

Anyway, I'll set the ball rolling with 3 tracks to give an idea of what I think proper solid techno is. I'm a little out of touch with new tunes so these are all a few years old but I'd love to hear new stuff from other posters too.

^^A little indulgence with this one, its one of the first vinyls I ever bought

    So, lets be havin ya!!!
