Empty houses attract jobs to Leitrim!??!

In yesterday's Indo If that's the case they should be building more empty houses. I don't know what he's smoking, but I want some of it! Full article here.

In yesterday's Indo

Leitrim County Council's planning officer, Ciaran Tracey, said the 1,000 vacant units in the county could be assets to help attract inward investment.

He said: "In Leitrim, we look at houses as an asset which will help us to attract jobs."

If that's the case they should be building more empty houses.

I don't know what he's smoking, but I want some of it!

So, the more empty houses in Leitrim the more jobs the county will have?

On that basis the county should already have full employment!
