Not sure which is the best but accents from the Northern parts of this Island are the worst I think - be it Donegal or Antrim, Monaghan or Tyrone it doesnt really matter. Nothing againt the people though.

This thread is crying out for a poll.

Dublin accents are so natural to my ears I'm not conscious of them so my vote is split between Donegal and Derry.

I recently discovered my accent is the best. Really quite sexy. At a work thing, had to watch and listen to myself on video. It was an eye opening experience.

A nice, distinct yet soft non-regional accent with excellent diction and a sexy gravelly undertone. Hmmmm Hmmmmm

I really like northern accents, especially Donegal, it sounds really soft. Love the Cork accent for sounding indignant. I really hate inner city dublin accents, variations of which can be heard in some Dublin suburbs too.

    +1

Have to say the ''howiya's'' accents , as they're known , don't really entertain me in the sense of do i like them or not, i just think they are plain daft , however, there are some which are tolerable i.e. people who actually want to hold an intellectual conversation with you and do not wish to ''hijack yer micra'' and ''go on a mad one yerrroowww'' etc etc.

on the other hand no matter how much grief they recieve from it , D4 and other southside coastline accents are the best in dublin imho.

    donegal accents FTW.

Dont know how anyone can like the Dery accent "Whata bout ye mucker, haigh?"

    It would go through ya:mad:

Donegal is the best, but I might be a bit biased with that view:pac:
