    Hi folks

I've been hearing the Visit Kildare ads for a few weeks now, and they mention that you can do Zorbing in Kildare.

Now, I've checked out Zorb Ireland and they only mention a site in Kilkenny. Does anyone know where or if it's available in Kildare?

If it is only available in Kilkenny, could someone tell me what's involved, cost etc. to organise a days Zorbing. Want to sort it out for my brother's birthday if possible.

    Thanks

Hey Amz, looking into the same thing myself at the moment, there seems to be very limited information from the site. I emailed the site owners to try get information a few hours ago, if I get anything back ill let you know.

I'm actually really interested in this, and heard a few years back that they were going to open a site in Kildare to do it, yet I can find NO info on it whatsoever, and the info on the Kilkenny one is very vague and seemingly outdated.

    Do such places actually exist?

    Thanks, I'd appreciate that.

The visitkildare ad is very misleading really.

Looks like Zorbing is a no go at the moment anyway -
Many thanks for your mail in connection with the Zorb®. I am sincerely
sorry for the delay in replying to you.

Unfortunately at present our site is not yet open this season. This is
due to us having to reapply for planning permission to make some vital
changes to the way we operate our site in Cullohill in Co. Laois.

Please check in to our website from time to time for further updates. In
the meantime as soon as we have a restart date we will let you know by
email. We will advise you via email when we intend to re open the site
and you will be able to check this on our website soon.

I am sorry for not being able to give you anymore information at the
moment but I really will not be in a position to do so for approximately
2 months or thereabouts. In the meantime if you have any questions
please do not hesitate to contact me by email or phone. We will contact
you as soon as we know when we will be up an running.

    Many thanks again

    Regards

from looking at the science website - its not actually Zorbing - more like a Zorbing experience - being inside one of the Zorbing bubbles.

    :(

disappointed - but still might go and try it.

    Hi

I was trying to get Zorbing to Sports Expo Ireland but havent been succesful yet

After a tone of calls to Zorbing Ireland i spoke to a very nice guy who explained the situation.

They built a road near there site and the Zorbs could be seen flying down the hill from the road so the NRA got them closed down for safety.

Thats it basicly they got screwd

Very nice guy i am trying to convince him to come to Sports Expo Ireland so i hope he will as id say it would be a big hit.

I know they are trying to sort out a new site nearer dublin but it may not happen this summer

There is zorbing in Ireland. Colin Walker in Monaghan (timeframekidz.ie) brings zorbs to events - festivals/parties etc. He has done quite a few events around Monaghan and they have been very popular.
