Moving to Australia so buying Gaming Laptop

Hi everyone,

I'm moving to Australia in July so looking to buy a gaming laptop as I will be selling my PS4 before I go as I find having a laptop will be less hassle.

Can anyone recommend me a gaming laptop as I'm a bit clueless when it comes to this but I'm just looking for one that can play the latest games on decent settings.

How does your current laptop manage playing games? It should be fairly capable at least.

What kind of budget do you have?

It's not too bad. I can play arma 3 on low settings. I can play payday 2 on the highest and I can run Arkham City pretty decent on it.

The one thing is I bought dark souls 3 and that wouldn't work for me the game ran but it was a really low fps was unplayable.

I'd rather just upgrade my laptop but from looking online it's not really possible.

If I sell my laptop and my ps4 I'll have 1000 to spend.

It would have been good in its day but you're right when you say upgrading isn't really possible. Well not in the graphics card front at least!

Check out pcspecialist. There should be a good options available there for your budget.

If I don't manage to sell my ps4 I'm just going to keep it and try and get more ram into it might help.

I actually might get a laptop on the quick credit scheme in Harvey norman seems to be a good way to do it.

Yes just done some looking into it doesn't look good ha.

If I sell my ps4 and laptop I'll be able to afford a hp omen if not I'll just keep them and see what happens in Australia.

May as well look up prices in Aus, if it's around the same then yeah it could be worth doing it all when you're out there! But I have a feeling the prices in Aus are higher than here... no first hand experience, but worth researching!
