A 44-year-old woman has been remanded in custody at Dublin District Court after she was accused of withholding information from gardaí investigating last week's murder of Gareth Hutch in Dublin. Mary McDonnell, of Avondale House, North Cumberland Street was charged with an offence under Section 9 of the Offences Against the State Act - failing to disclose information that could have prevented a serious offence.

Only one of the women has been charged. Media reports say the other is the girlfriend of the on the run suspect, she's not expected of any involvement but has still been in custody 7 days.

I suspected the girlfriend of the on the run suspect may be charged with with holding information not the woman who has been. I also wonder if the arrests in the gareth hutch murder had any effect on the charge in the mickey barr murder?

Then again, there were no poor morale issues within the Force when Regina was talking to Sean O Rourke on Morning Ireland. By midday the bould Regina did concede on Newstalk however, that morale could be better. How could anyone have confidence in this farce?
