Aer Lingus Fleet/Routes Discussion

The seat map for the B767-200 being leased by EI next year are available on the Aer Lingus website, the seating is 2,3,2 in economy (As was suspected) and 2,2,2 in business

There are 189 economy seats and 12 Business seats making a total of the reported 201 seats.

Anyone know whether the B767 will be repainted, partially or entirely, in the EI colours for the 6 months that its leased for?

Flightradar seems a bit confused

It hasn't got EI-CJX in the database

Its flying as EIN 1AC but showing as AIRCONT1, but you can't find it unless you manually go through aircraft off the West coast of Ireland

Was rescheduled to be 1340 today and not 1140 as normal just to confuse matters

One due from Vueling in exchange of A319. I know the A319 entered EI service again and is on BHD-LHR for now but heard a whisper that the change may not happen now but not really sure if the source is reliable.

Ah right. Did see a pic over last day or two of the A319 in Vueling livery. No idea what the deal is with imminent replacement by an A320. Had seen the planned reg online somewhere EI-Fxx. Cant remember the last 2 letters. Might have been this thread on fact.

Thats about what I read. I think I saw a pic of it in the oaint shop too.
Am I right in thinking that the 2 A330s arriving late Summer have simar regs?.......-FNH, and -FNK.
Or is the A320 -FNK? With the 330s being -FNJ/FNH?

Don't know, she was EI-CJY back in 1993 with transero airlines, I can't see any information other then that.

His boss Willie can get him a pile of A330's if he needs them, 2 coming in 2016

There was talk of a 5th 757 but nothing came of it

Yep, heap 'o' junk EI-EPU just went out over me in Belfast, confusing for a moment with its yellow nacelles.

Working well, but they were only ever a stop gap measure. Mr Mueller in his time as CEO was in direct talks with Airbus (as other CEOs were) about the possible range requirements for the A321LR which at that time was only a design concept. EI knew that a replacement was in sight down the line.

BA Cityflyer operation on EI routes began this morning. To perpignan I'm almost sure

Aer Lingus are now operating 3 flight's every Saturday now also to Nice including one by the BA Embraer. Most I can ever recall on that route although it doesn't seem to have had any positive impact on the price in fact quite the opposite this year.. :rolleyes:

100% there's been no decision yet on whether yes or no.within IAG it's quite likely they will assign them to EI but as its a new type it'll need a good bit if notice training wise unlike the 330s where it became public EI were being assigned them Airbus already had them beginning production for IAG

I would agree with the about. The EI CEO is just keeping his options open because IAG haven't given him the final decision on whether the group will give EI A330neo's or let them have a split fleet A350/A330 or even a A350/A33oneo fleet. Those 2 A330 arriving this summer are going to stay for a good few years.
