I know you have your views on the prices of things and nearly everything is overpriced in your eyes but that Volvo is pretty on the money. You're getting it for €1k and some change I'd say and it's a fair enough price at that.

233k on an 11 year old Skoda should be fine. If my 2002 Fiat can manage 260k without a bother, then I would expect a VAG to be more than capable.

If it was a lot less I'd think it had been *cough* 're-calibrated' at some point.

if the history checks out, then that is a good find.

2.7 Bi turbo, Quattro, six speed, NCT'd...for €1.5k. The rear light clusters would have to go, and I'm wondering why he needs to stand so damn far from the car when taking photos, but this seems like a lot of car for the money.

I want value for time too. If I wanted a car this week I don't want to wait for the mythical €800 (before haggle) c70. Or view 10 cars all over the place to save 150 quid.....and end up in a Vectra.

I like value for money too, you'd be a moron if you didn't! But sometimes cars asking prices are petty close to what they're worth, that Volvo @ €1k is a pretty fair price. Saying its overpriced is a tad silly.
