Short notice, but this is a last minute date. The MNSCI in association with Marksman Challenge are holding a rimfire (.22lr ONLY) competition on
Sunday May 8th
This is going to be a full days shooting at various targets (both paper and reactive) and will require a minimum of 70 rounds for the day. The distances will vary from 25 to 100 yards and as said above will be .22lr ONLY (and will exclude tube fed mags due to time constraints). A 10 round mag is preferable but two 5 round mags will suffice. Format is all prone. Front bipod and back bag/rest.
You will need a breech flag so bring one or one can be purchased from reception at the range on the day.
This will be a test of accuracy and nerve as the points scored is based on how far you want to go. In other words know your limits. If you want to know more have a look at these videos as a demo to what you can expect.
Know your limits
Match stick and playing card
Plus some other goodies to make it an enjoyable and challenging day out.
This is an open competition so all are welcome. However due to this being the inaugural shoot, the type of shooting and the time of each detail places will be limited. As we progress with these shoots throughout the year we will have almost 60 shooting points so can accommodate a much, much higher number of competitors across multiple ranges.
To book your place please JP Craven by text message ONLY with your name and confirmation of entrance on 0868232641
All those attending must have insurance details and a valid firearms license for the firearm they intend to shoot. All this must be presented when registering at reception. Entrance fee is €15.
