If people are dumb enough to pay higher prices for the same product when they could buy it cheaper from a nearby competitor then good luck to the Canadians. That Texaco filling station beside the Tara Towers clearly had plenty of them for customers.

That's the one. The street level unit is quite small but there's a huge space downstairs. Great to see that unit reserved. More chicken on Marine Road is a good thing

looks like they are removing the escalator. The downstairs space looks massive alright, all the way under Easons & O'Briens by the look of the plans.

I'm delighted with this, I love their food. These guys started out in DL market before opening an outlet in Tallaght, so great to see them come back.

New Starbucks opened where Pizza Hut use to be in Rathmines (a couple of doors down from the Garda Station). Crazy because there's another one less than 200m away on the main street in the old AIB building

Opening: A carpet showroom going into Park Pointe, the name of the firm escapes me (was in the SB Post last week). Garden furniture place going into the former hardware store in Glasthule.

Closing: Motion Picture on Georges St in DL was closed, and the ladies clothes shop beside Golden Discs was having a closing down sale. Same with a small clothes shop opposite Fitzgerald's in Sandycove.

Rumour: heard that Eddie Rockets might be moving into premises in DL currently being operated by someone else.

edit: sorry just saw Motion Picture was mentioned previously

Yes, the better half was told by fitters that this was the unit they are going into.

There will be a bit of a buzz around that end of town when this is in and the wing place too :pac:

Frank Keane has taken over the VW dealership which was formerly part of Grange Motors beside Deansgrange Cross. The original Mercedes dealership doesn't appear to be affected, still part of the MSL empire.

It's a fast food branch of Eddie's: no table service, you order McDonald's style. There's a couple of locations in town already, in St Stephen's Green or on the quays.

I heard that the Henhouse was closing :eek: and that their unit was getting knocked into the Gourmet Burger one for Eddie Rockets/Rockets.

I was down in Nutgrove on Saturday and they were already open. The unit is next door to Ebano across from the 3 store.
