I agree, condit is a beast, he's a 6 foot plus lean welter weight who should go over when hit, yet he can take the best out of big rig, lawlor and GSP and still keep truckin!! I think condit is one of the greats, a real martial artist, throws left and rights followed by low then high kicks, has a very durable style and savage work rate plus fitness for weeks. He really is the champ that never was.

Nobody gives a f*** about these other fights until this one is settled. Cut the bulls**t. Run it back.

They can fight each other down the line sure no problem once McGregor fulfills his obligation to the FW division, the last fight was a voluntary, he should at this point just do his mandatory and then fight who he wants after that. If he wants the Diaz fight so badly then just give up the FW belt, it just isn't right to keep fighting on while not defending it. Simplest thing imo is to defend the 145 belt, get that out of the way, then fight Diaz and depending on the outcome he will have options, or he won't. If he defends and moves up to fight Diaz and loses again he still has the belt, and he can still take a crack at the LW division after another title defence. If the FW champ continues to refuse to defend the FW belt while actively pursuing other fights I think you leave the company with no option but to strip the title.

Cathy.C wrote: » Well, we know that is just not true as Dana is on record as saying that nobody, including the UFC, wanted the rematch and yet he was given it. Indeed and we also know this is the case with the UFC as Dana has made it quite clear that Conor was granted the rematch because of he has conducted himself within the UFC. In particular to how he has gone the extra mile and saved cards after fighters have pulled out on him late on in the day. Not sure why anyone would bother trying to make a point to the contrary when even the UFC don't.
finglashoop wrote: » Dana wants money. If the ufc didnt want it they wouldnt make it. So regardless what they say its what they do that matters.
Every time someone pulls out of any fight the fighter has a massive advantage as they usually have a fight camp behind them while the person stepping in has a month or two weeks to fight. This is the case with conor as it is with everyone. His undoing was his own ego and going so high in weight.

Cathy.C wrote: » I never suggested they money wasn't a factor. Pointless comment considering I said nothing to the contrary. Of course money is a factor. It can be at times (overstated with regards to Nate I feel though) but the point was that Dana has has said, long before this spat, that Conor wanted the Nate rematch, not them, and that because he has stepped up for them on late notice before, they (the UFC) were giving it to him. You said that UFC are his boss and they'll decide who he fights but that's just not true and particularly when it comes to fighters with a lot of PPV power. You'd want to be fierce naive to think that fighters with the kind financial clout that McGregor has doesn't get to have a say in who he fights.
