I can see why the management are keeping details quiet, they as we need him for the championsjip match. I know this is hindsight, but Conlon went down early v Kilkenny when Tony Kelly was nearly subbed on, this might have been avoided if the medics had intervened. Anyway this changes everything with regards to our hurling on Sunday. Unless we play Peter Duggan or Aaron Shanagher we wont have a direct game that we have used well with Conlon. Tony Kelly will likely play from the start. I think Waterford should this weekend, although we will have a shout if we can stop Waterford from getting goal(s).

Tadhg de Burca (Clashmore / Kinsalebeg) 6. Austin Gleeson (Mount Sion) 7. Philip Mahony (Ballygunner) 8. Jamie Barron (Fourmilewater) 18. Darragh Fives (Tourin) 10. Kevin Moran (De La Salle) 11. Shane Bennett (Ballysaggart) 12. Michael Walsh (Stradbally) 13. Patrick Curran (Dungarvan) 14. Jake Dillon (De La Salle) 15. Colin Dunford (Colligan) Kinda dissappointed Shanahan isnt starting for this, Im interested to see how O'Connor would get on as it would be his biggest challenge yet at full back. Its a tough team to beat, when you look at the midfield/forwards, players like Dunford, Dillon, Brick, Moran and Barron are real grafters, they wont stop working til the end, but theyve quality too. I think looking ahead, I know it cliche but the start will be important. When you have two very systematic teams, the one that gets into gear early could really push on. Its going to be a big challenge for the likes of Cleary and Fitzgearld at half back, to see how settle down. Kk the last day set up very orthodox which made their job straight forward, but Waterford will be constantly moving around so they will have to be thinking on their feet. Also when they have the ball they wont be hitting into an open backline, quiet the opposite really. Looking forward to this game.
