I want to see the Diaz rematch, I really want to see it but I think Conor should defend his belt first. Aldo / Edgar deserve their shot. Especially Aldo, his fight with Conor was definitely not representative of his capabilities.

To have it slowly unravel that it was basically a lie, wasn't very nice. It would be nice to have some sort of explanation, especially considering the money I've spent going over to Vegas, this was due to be my fourth trip in 12 months.

dulux99 wrote: » I did go on what the ufc had said. They announced diaz vs mcgregor 2 and I booked flights accordingly, just like I did for 189, 194 and 196.@saipanne, don't get me wrong, I'm not angry at McGregor for any of the debacle of him being pulled from the fight. I think he was absolutely right in what he did. However if you take my personal circumstances out of it, where he did save two of the cards, I was travelling on this trip with three guys who hadn't been to Vegas before, one of which is after taking out an absolutely gargantuan loan from the credit union to bring himself and his 15 year old son who idolises Conor. Imagine how both of them feel.

I'm not making excuses for him, he fcuked up and he got smashed for it. He deserved the loss and deserved to lose the belt but he could definitely put on a better show in a rematch.

There's rarely a fight where the losing party couldn't have done better on another day. Those where someone performs to their absolute maximum and still can't win are the sort of mismatches that should never take place. In the end, Aldo approaches the fight wrong on the night, stormed in like a bull and got KOed. In the same way that McGregor approached the Diaz fight wrong and showboated a little too much, gassed and Diaz took advantage like the tough b*stard that he is. Could Aldo beat McGregor on a given night? Absolutely. Could McGregor beat Diaz on a given night? Absolutely. Does that mean either deserves a rematch? Only if the public wishes for it to be so. JustShon wrote: » As I've said earlier, in my opinion everyone deserves at least one rematch against someone who beat them. One shot to show that they can do better against that person. After that, well you had two chances to beat them and didn't manage so shut up and accept that they're better than you. As for what the public wants, rematches are generally pretty hype so I wouldn't worry too much on that front. I know Conor v Diaz had split opinions but anything involving Conor has split opinions, he should be Conor "Marmite" McGregor.
