Great champions take on the biggest fights and fight anyone anywhere anytime. Which is what Conor has always done. There is only one man at 145 who deserves a crack at Conor. Everyone else got their chance.

However, that same sales rep has a contract to turn up to work and do his job. If there's a big sales pitch to a potentially huge new client, I'd expect him there to deliver it, not call me and say 'Nah you know what I've made you a sh*t ton of money, get one of the others to do it while I take a day off' then it's not going to wash either, because it makes me look weak, and he'd get to call the shots. McGregor makes more money for the UFC than any other fighter and, in return, he makes more money himself than any other fighter. When he signed up to the fight, he signed up to all the promotional work that comes with it. That's what a contract is, and nobody should be allowed to just back out of a signed, sealed and delivered contract so they can do their own thing. Also, let's not pretend this isn't about Conor's ego. It absolutely is. If he was there yesterday, he would have heard Nate tell him he 'got his ass beat' and what could he say in return? Nothing. He would have been able to have the pops at RDA and Aldo, but realistically he couldn't say anything to affect Diaz. On a sidenote, I thought Diaz was excellent in the presser yesterday, and not for the comment about beating McGregor. I thought the curveball he threw about only wanting to fight McGregor and nobody else, and the going on vacation thing was hilarious and totally caught Dana by surprise. The whole thing is a mess, but it would have been easily resolved if McGregor does his job.

To say he proved nothing at 145 is ludicrous and revisionism of the highest order. I also love how people dismiss the Aldo result, listen to anf UFC fighter talk about that result and you will see how impressive it was. Some people are so bitter towards Mcgregor that they cant even bring themselves to him any credit, its pretty sad and wierd.
