Rumours of the WiiU production being halted are refuted by Nintendo, but with the console unpopular and the replacement on the way, why keep making it?

I'd say what might be possible is the Wii U in its current form might be getting discontinued, & a cheaper, more compact (ala Wii Mini) version could be on the horizon.

I don't recommend buying anything Nintendo right now. We need to see what the NX is first, and how backward compatible it is. If it's not backwards compatible, I'll be jumping on a WiiU myself; if it is, I'll be holding off for sure.

Did anyone actually pay the ridiculous asking price on the eshop for this Xbox 360 version of the game?

I'm not a major fan of the game but my 6 year old makes me play it with her on ps4 but if it had at least a touch screen inventory I would kind or possibly think about considering maybe sort of buying it for the 5th time considering I own it on iPad, iphone, ps3, ps4 and Xbox 360 so she could go on stampys world. Its madness on wiiU it doesn't even have a Demo for Christ sake.

At least they got it. That's only a tenner more than the likes of Assassins would launch at (at Gamestop:pac:) I'd rather have the option than not. Quite worried GAME/SE store will be the only one to get the FFXV steelbook premium edition...

The console has held its value really well considering its a year older then the PS4/XB1 and didn't sell nearly as well as either of them. Probably also to do with nintendo stubbornly refusing to lower the price in any way, but still.

Looking at the stack of PS4 games I have, I could honestly say I have only thoroughly enjoyed about 4-5 of them, on the other hand looking at my Wii U games I do not think one has disappointed me.

I don't suppose anyone has bought one of the new Selects yet? I'm wondering |(though I highly doubt it) if Nintendo has included a way to get gold coins for My Nintendo Rewards in the physical games. Would these be the first new (ish) releases since the new reward scheme?

I'm tempted to just buy them digitally, though I hate Nintendo's policy of tying purchases to your machine rather than an account!
