yeah, i was joking about the dash...:cool:

But you will have to fork out for an NCT in November ( or more likely scrapping it and replacing it) whereas you get an extra 12 months for your money on the panda. Horses for course, i know.

( not mentioning the issue with insurance - depending on the insurer you could either pay 20% extra or not get itin the first place on the ancient jap.)

The less expensive "Elegance" spec versions were better looking, in my opinion. Nice car for that price though.

Asking €1,200 sounds a lot, but it claims 1 owner, low (51k) miles, recent cambelt with full service history. Looks tidy in silver and alloys do it no harm at all.

Its 2005, so insurance wont be an issue.

Not the most dynamically inspiring of rides, for sure, but its unlikely to go wrong. Tax until October is a bonus, offsets the shortish NCT till August.

I'd say a grand in the hand will take it.

Must be the cheapest 2009 around. A terrible car to buy new but at €1,700 its a bargain for an 09 load lugger - if you can put up with the dreary looks and lack of refinement.

Tax is a bugger at €750, but its only €240 more than the old system. Think of it as amortizing some of the cost over 3 or 4 years.

And to be fair they never ever break. Bullet proof yoke. Bit thirsty for what they are but fcuk me that's a cheap car

But the car itself had to run over the lawn to get into that position.

As for Lacetti estates. I wouldn't call them all that bullet proof. My dad had an 06 model he had to sell for a three figure sum as the engine had a major failure in the cooling system.

That, and the mileage. Diesel is really only attractive to someone doing big miles, and they will be put off by 180K.

Reality is that with a good service history, that motor is probably good for another 60 - 70K miles with no problem. But your selling into a limited market.

An XJ8 no less, short enough test but it looks very well. If the chain and tensioner really were upgraded two years ago and there was tangible evidence then you should be onto a good car that will run for many years yet.

Very nice. looks like a sport with the black frames and painted grill. great colour too.
