Spring Weather 2016

The milder weather towards next weekend is giving me Spring vibes! What does everybody think what Spring will give to us?

A Spring like 2007 / 11?

OR

A Spring like 2006 / 13?

My predictions

March - Very dull, cold and wet. - Dullest March on record
April - Very cold, dull and wet. Potential cold snap. - Coldest April on record and maybe dullest in over 24 years
May - Average temperatures but sunny and dry. - Nothing remarkable

^ I hope not! LOL

First two days of April so far have delivered a mere 7.8mm of rain...though it was raining here on and off all day.

This is reflected on a national level too. Charts showing % of average rainfall for the year so far for the last few years. This year much wetter than last to date, but still not as wet as was the same period in 2014

I know I've unfollowed the thread, but I just have to express how nice today is, and how unexpected this is. Currently a cloudless west Clare sky with the sun splitting the rocks, with no wind and apparently a temperature of 16.9c.

Hard to believe there is murky rainy skies so near.

Rain expected to come back soon here whilst it is dry and very cloudy right now - still no sunshine so far this month!

Temp 9.5C which the highest today (overnight low was 6.1C)....dull and cloudy with spits of light rain on and off but the total today is only 1.0mm - giving a grand total the past three days of just 9.8mm.

Amazing the amount of rain to the south, north and west of here!

Yeah I can see the difference (south Dublin had far less)

Casement Aerodrome: 6.8mm
Kilternan: 7.8mm
Dublin Airport: 19.0mm

Of course the thread goes dead, because we're out enjoying the "good" weather??? And since we're not out in the "horrible weather" (rain), there's nothing to do other than moan about it 'cause we can't do what we normally like to do in good weather.

Hey! At least they are having a great day in Clare....it's not all doom and gloom (well, up here it is!)

We could really do with 16.6C here...get things growing....
