It is untrue that he is only there for the 2 weeks before the fight (as is often claimed here). Ido Portal regularly says himself that he is an integral part of the coaching set up even going so far as to say that if McGregor loses the blame could possibly be pinned on him. He advises McGregor on movement, is his strength and conditioning coach (see Ido's own quotes), advises McGregor on jiu jitsu (see quotes) and spars with McGregor (see videos). It's completely ridiculous to say he has as much influence as a masseuse. He is in McGregor's corner, handles McGregor's strength and conditioning and spars with him in the lead up to fights!
