The clear blue digital kits really did my head in and gave them up after advised by doctor after 4 months. Now doing the Creighton Model (recommended by Napro - basically lots of CM observing) and temping with regular thermometer and everything is a hell of a lot clearer!!

I got a basal thermometer on amazon - literally the cheapest one I could find, it was about £5 and came with 20 ovulation strips. The handy thing with it is it remembers your last temp, so when you turn it on your last one flashes up on the screen for a few seconds. It means that if it's holidays or three weekend and I'm not getting up at 7:30 I can just take it while I'm still half asleep and then when I wake up later on, check what the temp was and then record it in FF app.

I also got the basel thermometer in Amazon, it's such a useful way to track ovulation as then I know for sure when it happened.

BFN this morning at 10dpo, because of the spotting for the last two days I'm sure it's accurate.I'm a bit disappointed but I am trusting that we can do this and it will happen for us soon! Got to stay focused and positive! Fingers crossed for those still waiting to test!

Another bfn today day 11/12 dpo today do waiting for Af. Bloating less and cramps easing so just waiting now.

BFN at 13 dpo for me this morning too and I'm really feeling so frustrated and disappointed. Woke up in the middle of the night a few night ago (very unusual for me) and was so hopeful that this was our month.
I'm going to get a thermometer for next month and think I might visit the gp too just to see what she thinks as we've been trying for a few months at this stage and not sure what more we can do at this stage.
Ufff feeling crap but hoping to take inspiration for Meubles and start tomorrow with a positive attitude.

Sorry to hear that Ruailebuaile, I know the feeling! You just have to make your mind work for you not against you and that our day will come!! I've been off birth control since last September and honestly I only feel like we've been properly trying since January as I didn't know how to listen to my body or understand my cycle. I just try brush it off and think ok April is our month!!

Sorry to hear that ruailebuile! Our bodies are cruel at times plus all the symptom monitoring could have you drive mad at times!
Thinking positive is the way forward I think, I'm going to keep up the reiki and reflexology I love it and it's helping with the sleep!
Not going to test again until Monday if Af still hasn't landed, in the in laws so will leave it until then!!

Thanks ladies, I know you are both right and it's really important to keep positive and a good frame of mind about this.
Have any of you talked to family or close friends about it? I'm thinking of chatting to my mum although I don't want to burden her, a good friend is currently pregnant wouldn't feel comfortable talking to her but may confide in another.

I think I'm going to really try keep away from google next month too - the symptom checking during the tww is not doing me any favours.
Really grateful for this forum and the support on here - mean a lot.

I haven't told anyone, but I'm being watched haha! It's an odd one as people tell you all the stories of people getting pregnant straight away and without trying but I don't want the added pressure but I'd love to talk to someone but it's a catch 22. My friend had a miscarriage at 18 weeks last week so can't really be bringing it up. And wouldn't want to as its just so sad!
Love this forum too really helpful and lovely to have people to talk too.

Can I ask if the GP gave you any advice or reassurance after 2 CP? I've had 2 MC and just wondering if there's any advice that could help that I haven't received from my GP.

Yeah mine said its so rare, I work in health and predominantly woman very rare to happen first go just we didn't know they had been trying.
I was all over the place with the flashing faces as I was trying every other day and then full smiley the same. But sure you can't when you've things in or working so just try as you can that's what I was told. But I'm not sure either!

No, three is the magic number as far as they are concerned, they don't really seem to take much notice if you've had less than 3 MCs. YeSh do insist, or if you have a more clued in go see them. But if your going private then all them bases will ve covered early especially if you know the specialist is in that area of treatment.

Gosh hopeful I'm really sorry to hear that, I feel bad now for having my moan earlier. That must be very tough especially when the doc isn't being terribly helpful. Hopefully the specialist will very thorough.

Both my chemical pregnancies occurred one after the other at the very beginning of trying and the doc checked a load of bloods for hormone levels but they were okay. She just said look it's very early in the whole process if after 6 months you are still having issues we'll refer you further.

I've day 4 of flashing smiley face today...what is the deal. Dtd last night so might give it a skip today give the OH a break to recuperate! ðŸ˜„

That's tough though even at the start of trying.
I had 7 days of the flashing smiley! Before a solid and we only dtd 3 times that week as Dh was sick. They say every other if you can fit sperm quality

Hopefully2016 sorry to hear of your losses, it's very hard!
I've also had 2 miscarriages but there's a few years between them and I've had 2 successful pregnancies so hospital tell me it's just one of those things. This is our first.cycle ttc after my last miscarraige so I'm trying to keep positive. My GP has been so helpful, she's done full bloods etc and all came back fine so fingers crossed all goes well next time.

I'm just happy to be finally ttc as we had to wait for the last 5 months for various reasons.

Hi just popping by and wanted to tell you that I was using the CB digital dual hormone ovulation kits this time last year and the cycle on which I concieved my now 7 week old I had 9 days of flashing smiley before I got a solid one so don't give up, keep testing. I know it works out expensive but some women produce detectable oestrogen early and the solid smiley only appears when LH starts to increase. On that sucessful cycle we had sex every second day during the flashy face period and the day of the solid smiley and the day after. Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear they wouldn't take you seriously, but sad to say not surprised. I really don't know what their sodding problem is prescribing it. :mad:

Its a routine prescription in any eastern European country for a woman with any history of loss. Yet here you'd swear it was made from fcuking unicorn horn or something the way that they go on. The doctor I spoke to last week wouldn't even contemplate post-BFP meds for me, even baby aspirin. Apparently my family history of life threatening clots is not relevant. But I wont be dealing with her any more as I'm now referred on. I hopefully should be talking to my clinic during the week and I'll ask them to ask the consultant for me - if they seem agreeable to the likes of progesterone, and if the west is handy for you, I'll fill you in on who the consultant is if you like?

Hi so i have pcos. We are trying for number 2 took along time to get pregnant with #1. My cycle for the first time in years has been regularish around 34 day cycle according to my tracker. Anyway today is day 34 . No period and negative tesco pregnancy test. Iv been exhausted the last week or so , i have been getting spots for the last week and my boobs are really heavy . I know these are signs of period too ao its hard to know. Has anyone else got a negative on pregnancy test day period is due and still be pregnant ? Has anyone used dealz tests i bought packet today to try them out . Would love to hear if any of u have used dealz or tesco tests aswell and if any of you have had false negatives

Thanks Neyite and to everyone else who took the time to reply. it all seems extremely unfair. It seems like something that could be tried so easily, it really annoys me that ladies from other countries living here can demand it in the Irish system but we'redenied it because it's not an established practice here to prescribe it. I'm expecting AF any day now and then I'm going to chase up the doctor I was referred to and hopefully get seen in the next couple of weeks. Ideally I'd like to start taking them as early as possible, even before BFP. I've also previously had a DVT but yet my own GP wouldn't prescribe baby aspirin for me. It all seems a bit ridiculous. Best of luck with your appointment, if you could let me know what they say that'd be great, the west would be reasonably handy for me. Thanks a mill!

It's like they think a MC is not that big a deal, they go off and tell you to keep going until you've had three and then come back. One is awful and too many if it could be avoided but three is just very cruel. You would think they'd be trying to help you avoid going though the awfulness of it if there was anyway they could do yet that's not the case it seems. Would be 21 weeks now if we hadn't miscarried in December and we've had a second one since then. Seeing others around you getting pregnant and progressing seemingly without a care in the world is very tough.
