Due to the arrival of the creature FTBL yet again my jamma cab build has been put on hold.
I did however,cobble up a new control panel for it on saturday morning.
Im quite happy with it considering i made it up without measurements or having the the sticks/buttons to hand!

I really should fix the front:rolleyes:
and change the marquee.
even if it is a place holder cab.

Have a brand new jamma loom and PSU to go into it,
Also 2 neogeo one slots and a jamma switcher.

going for a multi cart in one and league bowling in the other.

Never played any of the Souls games due to fear of them being way too punishing and being major time sinks. But I did pick up Bloodborne last year. Might give that a go at some point......

Is it just me or is the bonfire artwork on the front of that a piece of crap? Looks like a dodgy, generic tattoo graphic. 'Dark Souls III' might as well be replaced with the word 'Mom'.

Wonder if after DS3 will From Software release any kind of companion piece to explain some of the lore etc? Even though I'd enjoy it its probably better left the way it is and let the fans fill in the gaps

Artbooks are something I've never really seen the appeal in I have to be honest. All for good book design, but don't really think I personally get a lot out of pages of illustrations.

Am more interested in the 'You Died' book there's an extract of in Edge this month. Hopefully will feature some good writing on the games: http://you-died.com/book/

If somebody was stupid enough to combine the art book and criticism book into one, on t'other hand, ala Matt Soller Seitz's incredible Wes Anderson books... Then we could talk

Games used to have invincible modes. They were called cheat codes. I see nothing wrong with it as long as it's optional. However I much prefer the Ninja Gaiden Black way of calling it Ninja dog mode so you know how much of a chicken wuss you are.

I'm fairly sure the Euro shops used to sell cans of Lilt and Cidona. Haven't been in one in ages though, so I'm not certain if they still stock them.

I think the god mode in Starfox is a great idea.
I mean, only those that need it will use it, it's simply something they've already done in the likes of Super Mario 3D World, with the white tanooki suit, so what's the problem?
It'll give beginners and the very young the chance to enjoy the game.
And, as it's turned off by default, no problem for the rest of us.
It's not that much different than having a god mode in Doom, the one we all know about and could use if needed.
That said, Doom was an 18's game and little Sean or Mary really shouldn't be slaughtering helldemons, or at least should be competent enough not to cheat.... I'm very proud of Cidonalad in this regard...

It also has to be said that in the same interview Miyamoto also said there would be also harder difficulty modes as well.

The 'invincible' mode is better than tutorials imo.

Very young children, when my kids were very little they'd have love playing the game like that, watching their older siblings or mum or dad play "normally" and getting to progress just as far in the game.

I liked them in Super Luigi U and DKC: Tropical Freeze. Not so much for them being of much use, but the sheer hilarity by which the CPU zips through the stages and expects you to do the same.

Where are there actually Abrakebabras anymore? There's on beside me in Rathmines, and I think that's because HQ is there, but even perennial outlets, like Finglas, are folding up. Their falafel is a nice, proper chip-shop falafel. Just decked out in garlic and chili. It's hard to touch Mizzoni's of Rathgar for a chip-shop falafel, but Abra are a nice, if smaller and dearer, alternative.
