I personally haven't used Parcel Motel since I swithced to DPD Parcel Wizard back in December.

€3.85 delivered to your door, and they are extremely lenient on oversized items.

I even ordered a bulky office chair and wasn't charged extra, in fact i wasnt charged at all as it was one of my first 3 free deliveres during the promotional period.

I guess its handy for people who have someone who is at home to receive it,
but you could always get it delivered to your work address.

You get a text and email when it hits the depot in Northern Ireland telling you the day it will be out for delivery,
and another text on the morning the van is out for delivery with the estimated time of arrival.

Currently its next day delivery after it hits the depot up North.

You can also choose a future date and time to have it delivered if you're not available on the day.

On the website you can see where the van currently is on a google map, and it tells you how many stops left before it arrives to your location.

There's an app being beta tested by customers also at the moment.

Pretty slick so far, the only con is when you top up it doesn't show you how many top ups are on your account but they're working on adding it.

That sounds great. We use DPD already at my office so that might work well for me.

The only thing i dont like about Parcel Motel is that you dont know where your goods are. You get a picture of the box in the Dublin depot but not one in the north first which is more important.

Parcel Motel does allow one to avoid Saurons noticing the various purchases turning up, also avoiding divorce and selling ones collection to pay for the split....

Good point well presented, if they go to the work office i should be ok as well.
The post office idea wouldnt be helpful for me either. I dont see a benefit. Only collection during the day is meh. I collected from parcel motel the other morning at 4am on the way to the airport.

My post office always has the local Scum in there looking for their free money, I hate queuing in there 99% of the time

Any packages that end up at home often wind up having the be collected from this depot or that, as a lot of the time we might be out.
It's as handy just having them sent to the local Parcel Motel and dropping by on the way to work or after dropping Cidonalad to school.

Had a good day in Dublin, yesterday. Got to see The Hateful Eight in 70mm, plus I had Abra for the first time in an age, and I think the kebabs in that one around the corner of the IFI were better than the ones I used to have when it was around were I lived.

Jaysus, Abrakebabra - I'm amazed they're even still about in Dublin! Zaytoon and Ishkanders are going to be revelatory if Abra is currently your go-to kebab choice in the city :pac:

Retro recommended me Rick's Restaurant, not too far from the Abra I went to for their taco fries. I might give them a go the next time I'm in the city.

Rick's burgers. They do awesome burgers and taco fries.

However I'm with Johnny Ultimate on recommending Zaytoons. The kebab's there are fantastic with or without booze.

To give Jason Statham some credit, he's been in some pretty enjoyable schlock the past few years. He knows the market he is aiming towards and does it well and on a budget without looking cheap. Also anyone that is in a film and describes Hurling as a mix between hockey and murder is alright in my book.

Watched The Last of Us Maze Runner 2 - The Scorch Trials last night....there's not many films I'd turn off after an hour or so, but this was one of them. Disappointing really, as the first one was a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. This one though, took everything that made the first one at least a tiny bit different & threw it all away

I've had real Turkish kebabs growing up in Germany, and I will unequivocally state:

Abrakebabra are actually alright.

Better than most cheap ethnic kebab shops here.
