Haven't seen one of these Omegas in here for a while. Decent spec too, has xenons (he doesn't mention this). Probably yours for €450 which is very sweet

RWD, autobox, what's not to like for a couple of hundred quid?

Old skool 4 speed slushbox so petrol consumption will be pretty dire, but who cares when you pay €1.19 (haven't paid that little over here in maybe 9 years?)

I'd buy it!

The hg gave issues on models built from 1998-2000. Later cars didn't give hg issues apparently. I don't think it was ever a major issue though, certainly not on the same scale as the rover k series hg failures.

but listing front head rests and rear head rests; fog lights and front fog light; central locking and remote central locking; passenger airbag, drivers airbag and multiple airbags all as different items on a spec list just reminds me of junior cert English when you were trying to bridge the gaps to make make a 3/4 page essay into a full page essay.

I had a look at this car last week from adverts. Notice the comments where the seller says the car drives perfectly. I have no idea how they marked it as sold unless what actually happened was it got scrapped.

Nothing about this car worked. The handbrake was faulty and the car started rolling on a small incline, the clutch was stiff. There was a piece of old rag jammed behind the headlight. The underbelly was rusted away. The footbrake was horrible. And the driver seat kept slipping. The engine made a funny noise [I know what a well tuned Punto engine sounds like]. The radiator was dodgy too. And all through it , the sellers [from Bulgaria with terrible English] were smiling and insisting the car was driving perfectly while pointing out that they had changed the oil. And the rubbers everywhere was old.

If someone tries to con you into buying this run a mile. I can only imagine that the only possible buyer would be someone who doesnt know how to drive and hence can blame their lack of a driving licence/knowledge on how crap the car is to handle. I got into it for the craic since I was already there but I didnt dare drive it onto the public road outside of the apartment complex where I saw it. And apparently when I drove it there was a big trail of black smoke out the back. The optimism or delusion of the seller was hilarious. It had to be jump started too despite their insistence that many people had come to view it...

Looks nice. what does the ad mean by 'no warranty price' ?I thought you were always entitled to some sort of warranty from a dealer.

Aged well but make sure the obvious electrics; lamps, indicators dash lights etc.

Check for water ingress to lamps too

The 3 door version has(on the outside). The 5 door on the otherhand hasn't aged all that well and doesn't really look that good.

As with all small cars. 3 door versions look good / great. 5 door versions looks crap. No exceptions, except where the rear doors (handles) are hidden like in the Alfa 147 / 156
