How was your 2015?

I had some health worries in 2014 and that continued into this year but on track with that the last few months.
Got an opportunity to return to college unexpectedly which has brought challenges, good and bad.
Overall, wasn't perfect but an improvement on 2014.

Rubbish year. Had a number of health scares and missed around 3 months of work. And it has cost me a small fortune financially and still on medication.

Really hope 2016 is better.

Mixed bag for me. Turned 40, sold a house at no real loss, and gained a life in doing so. Had some heath problems that were entirely related to stress at work. Visited cool countries (China, Japan, France, etc.) through work. Published a lot of papers and book chapters, started earning some serious money, and have some PhD students who will become Drs this year. All in all not so bad. Roll on 2016.

It was quite unusual all in all. It consisted of 12 months and those months were full of days. Sometimes it was rather dark, sometimes it was rather light. It could have been wet, it could have been dry. People came and went - a distant memory of fog. It ended shortly and will begin again, timelessly.

It was pretty good.

I realised the career I had thought was the one for me for the past 3 years, isn't for me. Don't want to do it anymore.

Got engaged. Decided to move home. Since these two, 2015 has been about saving to come home and change careers in one fell swoop!

2015 will always be the year that I learned that you can't trust people because people change. I used to always trust my gut instincts about people but got it seriously wrong but on the bright side if that hadn't of happened, I'd probably not have realised it was time to come home.

Overall, 2015 gets an 8 out of 10.

2016 is going to be super exciting though! (and stressful:o)

It looks like I'm the only one left standing clinging on to 2015, or should I say lying Bentley sideways looking at this big monitor.
All I can say at this time is... I have 1 bottle left of Sternthaler Gluhwein mulled wine @ 9.5% and I continue forward in my endeavour.

Dire year-technically I shouldnt be alive with what happened during the year. I am single after 11 years, not currently living with my children and living with family at moment. Add to this 3 stays in a psych ward- one lasting nearly 10 weeks. Feckinh awful year

I seriously hope 2016 is a better year for everyone.

Well I hope this year will be better for you. Focus on the good things and progress forward as best you can, sure that's what most folk try to do but easier said than done, but we all have to keep on moving just like Bob Marley said.

I know that this time last year I posted that 2014 had been the joint worst year of my life so far. Genuinely didn't think it could get any worse but expected certain difficult situations to continue being a problem. Well 2015 was far worse than I imagined and I'm looking towards 2016 with fear and worry.

2015 was a good year all round, I suppose. A new grandchild was the highlight. Generally a quiet year - just as we like it.

A couple of lows. Lost old friends. But such is life.

Yes, all in all, a decent year.

Lows: Finally accepted we'll never have kids, took many years to accept, trouble continued in work from 2014 to 2015, now settled down thankfully.

Highs: decided we'd get a second dog (ex Carlow puppy farm), turned out she was up the duff and she delivered a surprise to us 5wks later. Gone from 1 dog to 3 dogs in about 5 wks. House now bloody mental always, The pup never sleeps and is awake at 6 every morning. As someone said it's like having kids without the college fees or children's allowance.
Completed by first marathon after loosing 2 stone. Great way to distract from work sh#t

Wishes for 2016: continued good health and finally get around to renovating grandparents old house and move in.

Well 2001 was my last real annus horribilis and hopefully it'll stay that way until my last one!

Good year at work

Personally, some good days and some bad. The bad one's weren't life changingly disastrous and the good one's weren't life changingly wonderful (it would help my dreams to win the Lotto if I bothered to play it) - so just an average year which is good.

2016 - new baby on the way in May - our second. So this day next year, I'll hopefully be saying how life changingly wonderful 2016 was.

Pretty good overall. Family are healthy and happy, so that's the main thing.

Work is going very well having delivered a major project thus year, recession hit me hard with several pay cuts, but I'm assured if a pay rise in 2016, so that's great.

Managed to get away to Barcelona for a weekend. Managed to greatly reduce a lot of debt in 2015 as well, it's been tough to do it, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel now.
