We are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of our old friend and bandmate, Scott Weiland. We experienced a good chunk of life with Scott, and even in his darkest times, we all had hope and love for him. His artistry will live on, of that, there is no doubt. Deepest condolences and sadness are for his children, Noah and Lucy. We all travelled around this world together on tour; our band, wives, and kids…and we grew to a big family that still remains to this day. It’s just so sad and brutal from any perspective. Rest In Peace Scott Slash, Duff, Matt, and Dave

Must have seen him interviewed a dozen times or more where he spoke of a whole range of problems and issues which he claimed to to be angry about and / or that were stressing him at a given time. Having to come up $50,000 a month for his ex-wife, band mates betrayal (as he saw it) the death of his brother (of which he partially blamed himself) but when talking about all these issues he was always was very articulate, to the point and had no real trouble finding words to express his relevant anger, sorrow or regret about each. However, there was one thing which he seemed to be unable to discuss, looked hopeless when attempting to and appeared more traumatized by than all of his other problems put together and that was how he was raped by some guy when he was 12 years old. I remember seeing him discussing it once in an interview and thinking that without question it was what appeared to be his main demon. Maybe I'm wrong, but he looked thoroughly haunted by it but yet seemingly had no trouble being pragmatic about a whole host of other problems that were dogging him at the time. That was right around the time he brought out his memoir, Not Dead and Not For Sale.
