This is a call to all boards members with Tralee connections to get a bit of a community spirit going like the good people of Listowel and Ballybunion who both have fantastic threads going.
Lets get a Tralee one up and running!!!
I have noticed alot of people start threads looking for information on Tralee. Perhaps this thread can be a central forum to help assist them with their queries.
Im now based in Dublin but like to keep up to date with what is happening perhaps people based in Tralee can assist me and others based away through this thread.
Your support in getting this up and running would be greatly appreciated.

I hope it does attract a big business to open here, but its hard to believe it sometimes after so many empty promises!

I had heard about this a good while back to be fair. Having said that, all the companies in the technology park have been crying out for the park to be expanded for years as they are all bursting at the seams but it has fallen on deaf ears. They are really stifling business by not responding to these companies' needs.

Xtra Vision are set to close 28 stores after Christmas. I wonder if Tralee will get the chop?

Wouldn't be surprised, the age of movie rentals is over. Does Xtra Vision even do them anymore? All I see them advertise is videogames for sale.

I dont how they are still open to be honest,with so many ways to watch films online the day of the DVD shop is over

They do weekly €10, bi-weekly €15 and monthly €20 memberships for rental. Its not by the individual DVD anymore.

Hey looking for some advice.

I'm working in tralee city centre and usually commute from limerick every day but over Christmas my hours have increased a lot so I'm looking for long stay b and b that would offer me a special rate for staying 4 nights a week between now and January.

Any ideas who would offer this? Thanks for your help in advance.

Not sure tbh - maybe try Tralee Townhouse on High Street? Or else various B&Bs through booking.com or airbnb.

As it's an off peak season, someone who'll be glad to have a room filled for such an extended period might give you a good deal.

Yeah, grand location for a movie-rental store but I imagine, like me, most people haven't rented films on physical discs for a few years now.

Hopefully, if it does close (and I imagine it will once the lease is up), they'll replace it with a proper HMV in the town centre.
