Over the past while there has been quite a few threads on Classic movies.

Classic Films Returning To Cineworld

Any cinema showing classic films?

Universal Movie Screenings!

Eventually, each thread seems to subside and I think it's because each thread focuses on Classics from one angle or another.

So what I want to do here with everyone's help is have a thread that lists every single Classic movie that is shown in any cinema throughout the country. I will just be posting Dublin so hope other users will watch out for their county.

If your also from Dublin then please feel free to post away. You might spot one before I do.

For instance yesterday I just popped into town and walking past the Screen I seen a sign for Night Of The Living Dead & The Shining. Sometimes these movies are just not too well advertised.

Please double check any times & dates you see on this thread. Although I will endeavour to make sure they are all correct and right, I did once make a mistake about something back in 1997 and so, although unlikely, it could happen again

All 12 hours of the legendary French film Out 1 are playing over a weekend in the IFI next month.

A full house for Brief Encounter at Lighthouse this afternoon... Brought my teenage daughter and her pal - whenever I can, I like to show em that a movie doesn't need to have vampires or werewolves or vampires AND werewolves to be entertaining... They loved it!

Great cinema experience, I love these Classic screenings...

Was my first time too. I had planned to watch it about a month or so ago when I just happened to notice that it was to be shown at the Lighthouse, some kind soul posted it here. So I held off to see it for the first time on the big screen. Very enjoyable movie.

Went to die hard last night with a friend. Better then 95% of the movies we have seen in the last few years. Even though I had seen it millions of times it felt like a completely different level of enjoyable movie.

Will definitely try and get to more of these golden oldies at the lighthouse.

Yeah, went to Die Hard during the week. Fantastic, even better than I remember tbh.

Lighthouse is hands down the best cinema in Dublin.

I know there was a Secret cinema screening a few months back of Empire but I just assumed they'd be shown on the run up to the release of The Force Awakens.

I'll more than likely watch them myself at home but I'd have preferred even a DVD screening in some cinema.. bit of atmosphere on the run up.

Own all of them across multiple formats. Will likely stil go to all of these screenings assuming the times are suitable. Shame Heat isn't being shown

Also wonder which edit of OUATIA is being shown. It says "recently restored Director's Cut" on the website but there's so many at this stage I've lost count!

Well it's billed as "De Niro vs Pacino Season - Round 1" so you'd never know, if we get a round 2 Heat would have to be in there i'd imagine.

For Once Upon a Time, i'm guessing it'll be the 2012 251 minute edit?

That's what I'd supspect alright but I hand it in my head there was a 268 min version shown somewhere in the last couple of years. Could be mistaken on that but have a vague recollection of reading it somewhere.

Yeah i read that Scorsese was trying to help Leone's family secure the rights to a further 25 odd minutes of footage(on top of the 2012 251min version), don't know if it's ever been screened anywhere though.

First (and only) time I seen this was on release back in '91 @ the old Lighthouse Cinema on Abbey St.
