New in Ireland? anyone wanna go to the pub?

So - I am heading over to Ireland for the first time in early September. I am a 34 year old guy from Cape Town, got an Irish passport a few years ago. I have a few cousins there and will be meeting up with them too.

I'm keen on meeting locals that'd like to have a few beers, maybe show me some of the local spots. I'm not that interested in overly commercial tourist spots.

I'm considering coming to live in Ireland next year, so I want to get to know the people, experience the culture etc...

I will have a car and will be travelling all over... I have 2, max 3 months to do this.

I enjoy a good pub crawl, scenic walks, food markets, wine.. maybe buy a bike and do some cycling.

Telephone exchanges click while there's nobody there, the Martians could land in this Ireland and no-one would care, by five 0 clock every-things dead and every third comment is a joke, while ignorant people sail on their boats like the grown big avocados on the tele-soaps.

You speak of beers and pub hopping... A new law is being studied at this time regarding cross-atlantic aircraft flights, especially over Ireland's aerospace in regards to pilots getting slightly drunk from the atmospheric pollutants of the amount of alcohol expelled from each individual daily.

Just like the cows and other farm animal news story a few years ago regarding global warming (or global farting) they wanted to cull all of these animals to save us from co2.

Jezz. Don't be afraid to say the words 'Fat People'. Yes a lot of people that drink in bars are fat bastards by truth, obviously because of the amount of calories in each pint of which makes you Fat.

Cans of beer are seriously lower in calories compared to pints, so you will see many Fat-32 people in many bars in any country. Watch out for the skinny people in bars, they are usually spirit drinkers

No. Fat32 is just File allocation table. The amount of file/fat allocation tables to be fat are 32 medium-fat and fat 16 the old way in the 50's and 60's is the fat 16 old allocation. It will be fat 64 allocation soon the way things are going, but it will be called fat 64 SLB, for slabs. Technology is really going fast,

Wouldn't expect anything less. Was also getting rather drunk by that time :-)
