Thanks for sharing guys, the premiums, cover levels and driver profiles are making for interesting reading.

It also goes to show that doing a bit of a shop around, while a bit of a pain, pays dividends in most cases.

I'm also not seeing too many ridiculous increases either which is good to hear.

Yep, in my 5 years on the road I've had to change insurers every year without fail.

That's a tricky one as well because the learner driver won't be covered if they are driving with the person with the 1 year licence.

You can’t be alone in the vehicle when driving, regardless of how long you have been driving and how many learner permits you have held. And the person who’s with you must hold a full driving licence for the category of vehicle you are driving for a continuous period of 2 years.

That is not an insurance issue, they would still be insured.

But they wouldn't be covered if the person accompanying the learner driver is the person with the licence for only a year and they had an accident. That's all I was pointing out.
