I enjoy the game so think it's worth the money but I suppose it depends on what you enjoy. It runs well on my computer, little to suggest it's alpha compared to how some games are at full release. Constant updates too so new features/items/animals are added on regular basis.

Maybe I'll expand on it if I get my hands on a dino that can farm stone but until then I'm good as is. I'd like to think I have a decent enough pc, can run most games full pelt without any issues but with this I have to leave most settings on low, with a few on medium. even at that the graphics card is fairly hammered, had to buy a new fan to blow air directly at it just so I could keep it under 80 degrees

Read that metal tools get 3-6 times more metal than the stone ones so scrapped together enough for a pick and yet it does no better than the stone pick I had, still 1 metal per rock. Getting reliable info for this game is near impossible with the constant updates!
TheKells wrote: » ah right, here I was thinking that the black slick looking rocks were the metal ones. thanks for that. now to find a dinosaur fast enough to take me to the mountains without getting eaten or lost on the way

Just need numbers really to develop defenses fast. There is no safe base but you can make it difficult. In any case you have to be ready for the eventuality.
