Thanks, its more for speed on the way up but on the way home it will probably be beauty

Dropping a year and getting a tax bill that's twice as high, for more money.. but overall nicer looking car (minus the colour).. Feel a bit torn. (Genuinely unsure why the tax is doubling on a 2ltr diesel of the same car, both post -08?!)

The radio below the screen is different in both so that would need changing kkv, as well as the buying and fitting of the screen, which may need a different/extra wiring loom or something in the ecu coded for it.
Wouldn't be far off 1k I reckon!

I'd be sold on the second to be honest!
Get him down in the price a bit and that's a beauty of a car, it makes a show of the first one!

I think mini gave a BMW engine now instead of the PSA engine.

Exactly. And while I say it's the most useless adaptation, it's actually useful for me. I think my knees are getting tired of climbing down! Now to look for a replacement for the 10 year old v8 Range Rover or keep it because it's so reliable.

I was being tongue in cheek about the "useless", I always thought it looked great from when it was originally announced. I agree about the coupe but the 5 door hatch is only a recent launch. For those who thought the 2001 relaunch was huge, they need to readdress their views now.

Ah, clearly it's half leather, but if it was reasonably priced (and wouldnt cost too much to get someone to install it.. who does that? A mechanic? panel beater?) then I'd consider it as an upgrade, seen as it's readily available and all.. whatever I buy next (looking very likely to be that 09 insignia) is sticking around for a long time, so if im gonna do this kinda thing, im gonna do it from day 1. Otherwise I'll never do it.

Also with my arch gap thing this is the kinda level of change,

Thought rear bushings were shot until i noriced it was still sitting high, will have a look at spring seating tomorrow

Full interior (manual/leccy?) including doorcards for a '10.... could be in the region of €1k just for the interior depending on how scarce they are.

You fit them yourself unless you're quadriplegic. Only thing to do would be disconnect the battery so the airbags don't go off.

Oh yeah I realise that was tongue in cheek, I was only acknowledging that it was a possible perception of them. Are they in or out of the range now, haven't kept up with them really except for tales of woe with engines other than the brazilian built tritec!

I like the clubmans, wish there was a version with the tritec rather than the prince.

Meh.. balls to that. If it were a full leather interior and around 500-600 i'd have probably went for it, but I'm not paying a grand so the outer side of my thigh can be touching a bit of leather.

There's cheaper ways to do that
