The "What's That Song" Thread [ PLEASE READ ]

Due to a overwhelming litter of Song ID threads cluttering the forum.. from August 13th 2006, the forum now has a new policy on this.

Everything related to a song ID HAS to be posted in this thread and this thread only.

Any "what's that song" type posts made outside of this thread will be deleted without hesitation.

And also would like to avoid any real discussion in the thread besides requests for a song ID, identification of a song and acknowledge / thanks for the ID. Not really a strict policy on this but if i see a discussion going on for 10 posts about how great a particular song is or something to that effect, i will delete it due to simply cluttering up the thread.

I'm really pushing it here but this one is killing me. It was out a year or two ago. When I try to remember the artist, Raymond Chandler, the author is all I can think of, so it might be similar.

I think you could call it R&B. It's a female led vocal, about a girl who puts on her make up, goes out for something to eat on her own, cake maybe, and tries not to cry.

I'm so sorry, that's all I have. Help new find the peace I once knew before I forgot this please. WRL FM mentioned the artist yesterday when I was driving home (i couldn't take a note). I don't know if he played the song tho, I just flicked on.

Hey, I hope someone here can help me because I've been looking for this for a while! There's this song (think it's only instrumental) on geordie shore season 10 and they always play it in the sad moments. It comes on in S10E03 at 10:20 and S10E07 at 39:35. I've looked through the mtv playlists for episodes, youtube, google and just can't find it.

There's a song that was on the radio quite a bit recently (TXFM or Todayfm) that i'm trying to identify but haven't heard it in a couple of weeks. Kind of funky vibe with a deepish female vocal sounding slightly foreign and went something like' da da da da, not fading away (i think!)' not very charty sounding but really good tune. Any ideas? I've had a look at the playlists on the various stations but no luck.
