I wish I was. Usually I skip town. But it wasn't possible this year. I'm working very close to the races so it's a nightmare getting in and out.

At least it's only one week (the other one is not as big)

I started work up near there too a few weeks back and from anyone I've spoke to the traffic isn't that bad at all and is far better than on a school day.

I also work in Ballybrit and the traffic the last 2 weeks was awful I thought to be honest. Worst it's been in a long time, probably since the start of when the bridge road was being worked on.

It's been pretty poor the past two weeks but nothing to do with race week, if you use the back roads then you can be back in town a lot quicker. We get from Briarhill Business Park to Menlo/Terryland area in about 5 minutes most evenings and in the mornings leave at about 8:20 and get to work well before half past.

Depends on yours hours and the day. The Monday hasn't got a huge crowd the last few years and that's an evening meet.. So, it may well not be too bad if that's the only impact to you

There's so much going on in the summer that traffic can jam up at any time.
A while back I managed to come back to the city from Mayo just before the big Galway/Mayo game, almost impossible to drive through the city.

This year I'm not going away for it, will try to be all zen about it instead.
