Labour Saving and General Guntering

How about using this thread to show off our engineering skills (or lack of!)
A lot of us have home made or improvised labour saving tools / implements lying around. Similar to stuff in Farmers Journal labour saving compettions. (without the prize money:p).

Maybe we could use this thread to share interesting ideas and discuss improvements.

I don't have any pictures at the moment of my own but I will take some at the weekend if not before.

My own projects include:
Quick hitch for front loader (fairly rough but works), designed to fit Trima implements onto MF loader.
Adapter to fit bale lifter onto front loader.
Various other loader attachments spikes etc.

Current project is a wrapped bale transporter being built out of remains of an old Muck Spreader. (only just started, currently just an axle and draw bar).

Their maybe other stuff around too, I'll have to have a look.

So what are peoples opinions, is this a good idea for a thread?

Now folks lets just settle here, it depends where windsurfer lives but in the 26 counties it is illegal to use a personnel with out integrated controls, except in a emergency situation.

Surely hiring a MEWP or boom lift & harness would be safer and cheaper as it is tax allowable.
Any device used for lifting people has to be certified every six months and recorded on a GA1, so in the event of an accident if it not certified it's not insured.

Well when we need one in a hurry we use the cage from an ibc tank with the plastic tank itself removed. Slide the pallet forks underneath and ratchet strap the cage to the forks then

Made one for the tractor loader, works very well, two slide down clamps secure it to the loader. It's used for branch cutting, roofing etc. as I'm on my own a lot I carry a ladder on it to use to access it when I get to the relevant job.

Sorry, I don't know how to post pics.. Must try Kovu's tips!

Now we're back to Guntering 101, it was getting far too technical there for me! Will try this as a first port of call, although I'd say a wider basket would be better as you would end up moving tractor a lot to reach next section. An access gate would be nice too.

Sprayer. ?
I read posts a while back where lads had got battery pumps from lidl or some where and attached a hose and lance to make a sprayer.
I've searched but cant find the posts so anyone got ideas for one . ?
Basically if i could fill a barrel on the link box and drive about hand out door spraying. Any advice?

I was going to do something like that with a budget of €50 in mind but instead spent an extra €50-70 and bought a quad sprayer. Glad I did, throw it in the back of the jeep and spray away, happy days.

I've one here but not your average portable one. Three phase run off 50 kva generator. Cebora Prof 162. Will cut up to 40mm. Air supplied from SIP 3 PH 7.5hp compressor.
Never liked having oxy gas. Highly dangerous.
