Just listened back to the car scam there, same thing happened the mrs friend 2 months back also in Ashbourne except they said give us all the money and you can go for a test drive. Low and behold no sign when the friend got back to the car park, no papers, car clocked worth about 50c....

No, the case is not closed. The people who moved him around, who covered up for him, have never been forced to confront their deeds, including Seán Brady. Most are probably dead now, but that is no reason not to confront these issues.

I'd bet they got it as a trade-in and it's worth nothing to them, only would have been going up the road anyway.
That's not to say there's anything wrong with the car, but it's easy to make it seem much more of a give-away if it's roadworthy and clean.
Fair play to them anyway, for all said and done it was a pretty decent thing to do.
