The Restaurant Recommendation Thread

There's been a crazy number of threads recently looking for restaurant recommendations, so I'd like to start a specific thread for it. Please post below about your favourite restaurants - why you like them, what price range they are, what type of food they serve, if they have an early bird, opening hours if you know them, where they're located. If you could include a link to the website, that would be great. The more details, the better. This is not a thread to post negative reviews - there's a thread in the main Food & Drink forum for that if you like. Basically, I want this thread to be full of recommendations, not positive and negative reviews. That being said, you can disagree with a recommendation briefly if you really feel the need to, but you must have a really valid reason such as an awful experience, rather than "I don't really like the food" or "It's too expensive".

no i was there with friends - they do pizza every night now… twas a great buzz

Yeah, the pizza there is great alright, proper oven for it. Paired with the delicious beer, and it's no wonder the place is always so busy in the evening

From what I've seen they do pizza every night at the well now. And it is indeed good pizza!

yeah i have to say apart from the value menue, g&g looks expensive for what it is; prob would not go the whole way to wilton for it..

on another note, I was in the fran well last night - ok not a restaurant but the pizza by pompeii was fabbb…. jesus - massive pizza for a tenner.. slice 3.50 (1/4 pizza)
not a lot of topping choice but what they had was good; roasted red peppers, parma ham, chorizo, goats cheese, olives… wow the sauce was diving - and the base was so thin - like proper pizza -
was a fab eve out the back in the beer garden - the place was so busy for a tuesday night - was good to see

In general, I agree with you, though the Chocolate Brownie and the Tiramisu are worth it imo.

They do have a value menu for €25, which is good value Starter/Main/Dessert & Tea/Coffee.

If I was to make suggestions myself, they are a little heavy on tomatoes (inc Kids menu), and the Sides at €5 are on the pricey side.

We went to Huguenot on Carey's Lane at the weekend for some tapas. The wine & food was yum though the cheese & cured meats platter could have done with more cheese. Really enjoyed the meal. The only negative I have was that we were downstairs and were pretty much the only people there so it lacked in atmosphere. Upstairs (for the main non-tapas restaurant I guess) was busy though.

Did you mean overall impressed? I had a look at the menu at it's quite different to a lot of the usual dishes you get in many places. I'm looking forward to trying it.
